Valerie Steeves' wealth of knowledge and experience in the auto industry inspired complete confidence in me, someone who hasn't purchased a car in years. Valerie offers something else which is equally if not more important. She took the time to get to know me and what I was for looking for - a well maintained used RAV with low mileage that would last me a long time. Valerie showed me what was available within my budget, with absolutely no pressure to buy a more expensive vehicle. She worked hard, for example scouring inventory at other locations for my preferred colour. Valerie's patience and sense of humour, ability to connect with me as person, and willingness to go the extra mile made it possible for me to find a car I am in love with. She wanted me to be happy and I am. I without hesitation recommend Valerie Steeves at Toyota Halifax to any one that is contemplating buying a car. Thank you Valerie.

I have been an O'regan's customer for more than 5 years and a Toyota owner for much longer. One of my last vehicles purchased was a 2015 Highlander. Since taking ownership I have entrusted its maintenance solely to Toyota service. This SUV , less than 3 years old and with less than 45k, has had very little wear and tear. I took it to Toyota more than a year ago to have rust inspected, which both warranty managers approved replacement and have yet to have this work done (on my last visit I was told there is no record of it....) Most recently, for MVI I was told I needed all new brakes and rotors ( due to metal on metal the rotors need replacement not for MVI). I advised them that 2 of the rotors have been already replaced 1 year prior but again was told they were damaged and they recommended replacement.... So after spending 50k for the SUV, in less than 3 years, rotors have now been replaced twice ( this time due to wear not defect which would of been covered by warranty for 3yr/60k....) I requested that all removed parts be returned with the vehicle, which I received resistance for, and when I reviewed these parts 2 rotors showed no apparent issue ( * I am not a certified mechanic to diagnose) and the several of the pads were no where near metal To end it all, I received no notification that my vehicle was ready for pick up and when I called I was told service was closed and to call back tomorrow. I insisted to speak with a manager who was helpful, quickly identifying service was open and I proceeded to pick up my vehicle. Overall, I very disappointed with both the quality of parts from toyota and the communication/care from the service department in Halifax. I have never had nothing but excellent service at Toyota in Cape Breton.

I'm extremely disappointed. At my 42,266 klm oil change on June 27, 2018, I was informed my 2017 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE I purchased June 30, 2017 needed new tires. WHAT??? The tires were on the car when I bought it June 30, 2017 to November 27, 2017 when I changed to winter tires. The all season tires were put back on the car April 13, 2018. I did the math, the Bridgestone Turanza EL400 tires lasted 227 days, 22,926klms. I paid over $30,000.00 for that car! Why would the Toyota put on such cheap tires? I can't believe it.

If your looking to buy a car and want exceptional service, I highly recommend Val Steeves. She was well informed on the vehicle I was interested in and answered all of my questions with confidence. From the moment I walked in the door, during my test drive and throughout negotiations the feeling I got was like I was sitting across the table form a good friend. She was there for me every step of the way and made sure I knew how to operate every aspect of the car before driving away a very satisfied customer. I would also like to give a shout out to Mary (greeter) and Paul (financial) both were very friendly, professional and informative.

My husband and I greatly appreciated the professionalism and attention given to us by our Salesperson, Rob Rubinger. While shopping for our new vehicle, Rob was extremely accommodating to us and our busy schedules. If you want care and attention to your needs, see Rob, he shines above many in our eyes. Loved shopping at O'Regan's Halifax, thanks again Rob, you are spectacular!

I usually don't get to the situation when I decide to write a review but this time I decide to do so. Here is my bad experience with Toyota O'regan's Halifax customer service. I have purchased my car from Toyota O'regan's Halifax about 2 years ago and part of this deal was installing remote smart start/alarm system. All under warranty for 3 years as per purchase agreement. About a few weeks ago the remote control stopped working properly (didn't lock car, couldn't start my car using remote control etc.) and so knowing I still have warranty coverage I called customer service, explained exact issues I have and so customer service advisor asked me to bring my car for check up/fix. She booked me in for Friday morning (June 1st, and that after waiting about a week for this available appointment). Friday morning I drove there (my working time), and here began the "fun time". Service advisor looking at the notes in the system what my complaints are and says "I don't think we can fix those issues here in da-houze as the alarm system wasn't installed by us. I (service advisor) have to check with your (my) sale person what to do, but he is in the meeting right now". Didn't make sense to me why that needs to be done as almost 2 years passed since the car was purchased. Really!!!?? So why did you asked me to bring my car in??? Couldn't you check that with sale person before booking me in??? Anyway, if so I have no choice and have to wait. After approximately waiting 45 minutes I decided to check again and "surprise" was informed that meeting is running late (maybe another half an hour or so we don't know exactly), and so service advisor suggested to me to leave (taking my car with me) and so she will give me a call when she has a chance to check with my sale person what to do. Note: my car even wasn't checked by technician, maybe it's something simple and no real fix is required !!?? What a waste of time ... taking time off my work/waiting/and not getting repair service. Next... after waiting half day and of course not getting phone call I did call to check where we are...I won't write here how many times (will be vey long story) had to call back and every time my call was forwarded to different advisors etc.. Almost end of the day and of course I don't know where I am and what the plan is to fix the issue. At 4:10pm I finally received a call from Toyota and they said "we have to take your car to our 3rd party service in Dartmouth where the alarm system was installed, we booked for you an appointment for Monday". Well, I said if this is a case then will see you Monday morning. After coming home and sharing my bad day experience with my friend (who is also a technician), he said it's a common issue for alarm system and all it needs most likely to be rebooted (probably reset button needs to be pressed located on the windshield). What a magic...that what it is ..I fixed... everything is back to normal by only pressing that small button. So, Dear Toyota O'regan's Halifax , shame on you, shame - Toyota customer service !!!! You showed me your unprofessionalism !!! You even didn't try to help here, if you would ask your local technician and give him a heads up what the issue is he may have some ideas how to resole this simple issue. I would suggest you train your customer service advisors to be better problem solving and not making their own decisions before checking with technician at least. Unfortunately I feel like making happy customer is more important for you when selling a new car, than keeping happy an existing customer when service is required. Shame!!! P.S. also MISSED APPOINTMENT email sent to me , are you serious (I was there to remind you) !!! K

We were very satisfied with the sales service provided by Val Steeves. She was friendly, knowledgeable, offering all the help we required to make this first new car purchase in many years. We also appreciated her as a ‘calm and quiet back seat driver’! Very happy to have a hybrid in a name brand we trust and that receives high ratings in all respects.
