After a full-service encounter 08 December (including new winter tires, on aluminum rims $$$), we were blindsided by a dead battery a month later. With Covid-19 we were driving less and hadn't noticed that the security light was "out". Of course the key-fob didn't work, so we resorted to using the mechanical key to enter the car. Not amused! We used most of that day, 08 January, with Lexus "roadside assistance" jump-start the car, and having Tony Graham Service installing a new battery. The complimentary carwash is appreciated, but at $250 plus the angst, and loss of our day, was less welcome. Regards; Dave

Hey David, Thank you for your feedback and for continuing to be a valued guest at Tony Graham Lexus. I've been in the same situation before and do understand the frustration and apologize for the inconvenience. Battery issues have become common due to Covid-19 and the bulk of vehicle owners not driving regularly or driving longer distances at all. This means each time your vehicle is started, the battery depletes a little. There are also multiple computers in your vehicle that retain memory and do constantly draw power. With this driving pattern and a battery that is already weaker due to its age, the battery never has a chance to charge back to its 100% potential and hence has caused this issue. With the new, healthy battery installed, it will be able to retain a charge for longer duration; reducing the likelihood of these issues arising again. Take care David, and keep safe.
