The entire experience was FLAWLESS and Bill Loughead was wonderful. He answered every single question with patience and respect. This was our first Toyota purchase and we would only go back to Jackson. THANK YOU!

I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership again and I strongly caution you against buying from them too. We attended in mid-March 2022 looking to purchase either the Prius Prime or the Corolla Hybrid. We knew that there would be some delay in obtaining a vehicle due to supply chain issues, particularly in regard to hybrid vehicles. The sales representative blatantly lied to us and claimed that the wait for the Corolla Hybrid would be much longer than for the Prius Prime. He told us that they expected the Prius Prime to be available in August or September 2022. It’s now clear that he was lying in an effort to get us to purchase the more expensive vehicle. There was no vehicle for us in August or September 2022. In fact, there was no vehicle for us until August 2023! Meanwhile, a friend purchased the Corolla Hybrid from the Newmarket Toyota dealership well after we placed our order, and lo and behold he got his vehicle months earlier than we did. Meanwhile, the interest rate on our financing more than doubled while we waited for our car to arrive. The dealership was not transparent that they would only hold the agreed upon interest rate for 90 days, even though the contract was negotiated knowing that there was no expectation that they would be delivering a vehicle within those 90 days (we were buying in March, with a view to receive the vehicle that August/September). This was buried in the fine print and not brought to our attention. As we have always been able to quickly obtain our new vehicle in past car purchasing transactions, we were not familiar with this clause. Once we had a time frame for the delivery of our vehicle, it took repeated calls to the dealership to get an updated price breakdown between being put on hold with no answer and messages not being returned. We had negotiated that they would kick in snow tires for the car, but of course now that the car has arrived they claim that they can’t get snow tires for it. They gave us a small break in the price, but snow tires will cost us a fair bit more than what was discounted. I firmly believe that this dealership negotiates in bad faith. Additionally, they would only accept a wire transfer for the down payment, which cost us an additional $50 in bank fees. A certified cheque was sufficient for purchasing our home, but this dealership won’t accept it for purchasing a car. When my husband called the dealership on the day that we were picking up the car in order to confirm receipt of the wire transfer, he was put on hold for 30 minutes and ended up hanging up. When we attended to pick up the vehicle, we were never asked to show a single piece of ID, which was a bit alarming. They didn’t have mud flaps for the car and they didn’t have a second key fob available at the time of pick up. I deeply regret purchasing from this stealership. I hear that the Newmarket location is much better, and I will be dealing with them in the future. I can attest to having nothing but positive experiences at the South London and Scarborough locations. The Barrie location is a black eye to the brand. If I didn’t have previous good experiences with other Toyota locations, this experience would likely have me swearing off the Toyota brand for good. This was hands down the worst experience that I have ever had with buying a car. So far we are happy with our Prime Prime. My concerns are regarding the tactics of this particular dealership location and not in regard to the brand itself. I won’t even be going back there for service due to the awful sales experience. Editing this to add that they sent us a password protected statement of account and failed to provide us with the password. Just more evidence of how little they care about their customers after the purchase agreement is signed.

I made a mistake. After three months of cottage runs, this 2020 Toyota Tacoma I purchased in May was clearly too small. So when rep Eric M followed up after three months to see how my Tacoma was working out, the timing was good. I traded in the mid-sized pickup on a full-sized 2021 Tundra (that was coincidentally the same color). Jackson’s Toyota could’ve taken advantage of my mistake; instead, they valued my trade-in very fairly, adjusted the cost of the Tundra to a budget-friendly price and thanked me for the return business. I’ve worked with Eric and his supervisor Klaus now twice in three months and don’t hesitate to recommend them. You will be treated fairly.

Brent Bell was great at helping us find the hybrid vehicle we had been looking for. The gently used Rav4 hybrid has been great so far and Brent and his team made the experience very smooth for my wife and I. Thanks again Brent!

I went to Jackson toyota for oil change for my 2018 Toyota Camry.I told them that I feel that my steering is tight. They said there is a part that needs to be fixed in the shearing. The part was more than 1500$ with a 2 yr warranty. I payed. After 4 weeks again, I went for regular oil change and transmission oil change , I mentioned that the steering wheel is still tight sometimes. As it was under warranty, I asked them to take a look. They then said it is a transmitter issue and the transmitter needs work. So they charged me 1500$ for the steering wheel part and the issue did not fix. Then they blamed it on the transmission. If it was a transmission issue at the first place, they wasted my 1500$. I told them about this and they just stalled us and said they added something to the steering. I feel like I was frauded by the showroom because they weren’t able to get to the root cause and charged me. Now they are blaming the problem to another issue. Then what was the point of charging me 1500$.

Our experience was very good given the current climate with Toyota. Brent was in contact all the time to keep us up to date on our Rav 4's status. He also gave us a detailed tour of the vehicle when it did arrive.
