Son’s 2010 Avalanche

Took my son’s 2010 Avalanche in for some body work and had them do an oil change and inspection at the same time. Quite a few issues were found with the front end. I was called and told of what needed to be replaced and what could wait. Agreed to get the priority work done now and by the end of the week the body work and mechanical work was completed.

Truck would not start in really cold weather. Check engine light would go on but by the time I could take it in after appointment for service the light would go out. Service checked the history of the computer faults and changed a relay that could be the problem. I guess we will not know if that was the fix until next year when we have another -30C day again.

My two main issues with experience is: 1. The communication that was promised to update my truck repair status was poor. I initiated all of the calls. 2. There was no follow up from The service department. With this type of mechanical engine failure I would expect someone to do such.
