I did the pre-approval online for the 2008 Ford Ranger that I wanted. I got a phone call stating that everything was good as long as I had my spouse as a co-signer. All of the details were gone over with me the day I came to test drive the vehicle of an interest rate of 6.99%, over a 5 year term and a bi-weekly payment of approximately $140, that included the 3-year bumper to bumper warranty, my down payment of $2500 and the life insurance costs. We talked about the possibility of getting a bed liner put in the truck as there was one on site that was cancelled from a previous order, but we wouldn't know if it fit until later. I was told that I would receive a phone call in regards to this. I was very happy with all of the above. What I was not happy with is that I asked multiple times about the bed liner and and no one ever did tell me if the one on site fit or not. When I came to pick up and sign all of the paperwork for the vehicle I was quoted an interest rate of 13.96%, a 3.5 year term and a monthly payment of over $400. The gentleman that was going over the paperwork with me informed me that I couldn't have been approved for 6.99% as I was declined by the banks. He told me that it is always a matter of what the finance companies come back with and that when he deals with customers he always tells them that the interest rate and payments could change because people don't tell us if they have bad credit or not. I did inform him that I did the pre-approval for the vehicle before I even came in to test drive it. Also I informed him that I never received an email or a phone call to any changes with the original terms I was given. He was very calm, courteous and professional. He even called Steve Boho who was the original person we dealt with. Unfortunately, that does not change the fact that the payments I will be making on the truck are $160.00 more than what I expected to pay. If I did not need a vehicle to commute to my new job I would have left the truck on the lot. One last thing. I, Ivy Holloway bought a truck not my fiancee Andrzej who this email was addressed to.

Goodwill Gesture

We just purchased a Suv when we picked it up we were disappointed by 3 things. The driver side seat housing is broken so we need to take it back. On the test drive it smelt like a new car, after detailing it has a very strong fishy smell and finally it had only a 1/4 tank of gas. I feel that a company as large as Haldimand motors could provide a full tank of gas with purchase. I did really enjoy and appreciate the no hassle opportunity to browse and test drive vehicles.

I liked being able to look at the wide selection of cars on the computer before going to Haldimand. From looking on line I knew some cars I wanted to see on the lot and my family and I were able to examine them and test drive at our leisure. When my decision was made the salesman was helpful and the car was prepared for pick up promptly. I love my car and am totally pleased to have purchased it at Haldimand.

I was assisted by Brent, he was very helpful. Financing approval was made same day, I was told the car would be ready in 3-4 days but was ready in two. Very satisfied and will be considering Halidimand Motors first for my future automobile purchases.

Top notch customer service

When I was driving home my new car, I noticed a stone chip in my windshield. I called your office right away and they made me an appointment to bring it in. Unfortunately, the chip could not be filled so a new windshield was ordered. While it was being installed, I was given a courtesy car to minimize the inconvenience. The service department staff, as well as everyone else I dealt with, were wonderful. This was the first time I've purchased a vehicle on my own and Haldimand Motors made it a great experience. Thank you

Positive staff and experience with the exception of two staff members stating that they would call the next day and let me know when the car would be ready and did not. There was a service delay that was understandable but feel the sales staff should have follow up when they said they would to keep me in the loop.
