I was called out of the blue asking to trade in my Jeep Wrangler (I've been a customer at Hunt Club Dilawri for 5 vehicles now) ... I took the time on my way home Friday night to go in and see what was being offered. Upon arrival I was told there were big deals to be made and that it would be a good time to trade in my Wrangler. So I indicated I was interested in a Cherokee Trailhawk ... I was pushed in the direction of getting another Wrangler, big promises of money savings etc. Reluctantly I said sure, lets see what you have. I waited around for over half an hour before I was told the only one they had was offsite at the compound... ok I'll go see it. I was then put in a car and waited another 20 minutes for it to be scrapped (maybe leave your customer in the showroom while you clean off the car?) ... 10 minute drive to the compound, 15 minutes looking around for the vehicle only to find out it's boxed in and can't be moved... no test-drive and essentially a waste of 40 minutes trying to see the vehicle. Back for another 30 minutes of talking... I said I would not sign anything until I drive the vehicle, but that I still wasn't overly confident in taking on another Wrangler due to poor gas millage and that I'd prefer some numbers on a Trailhawk. SO in the end, booked another appointment for the next day to test-drive the blocked in Wrangler and to get numbers for a Trailhawk Upon returning home I realized I did not have my vehicle ownership (i'd handed it in when they were getting numbers on my trade-in). I called to confirm they had the ownership... was told I would get a call back very shortly... no call that night. I called the next day asking if they had my ownership... was told I'd get a call back very shortly. After a couple of hours I called back and demanded to speak with somebody... I just wanted to know where my ownership papers were. Why does a customer have to call 3 times and demand an answer on a mistake that the dealership made (forgot to give me back my papers) Show up the next day with my family, made it very clear we didn't want a Wrangler (want something a little more fuel efficient) and would like to see the numbers on a new black Trailhawk. No numbers were ready and they had to start the whole process over (needed to go through the whole process of evaluating my trade-in again even though I did it the night before). Was told there was a Trailhawk on the lot and that we could test-drive while the numbers were crunched. Another very long wait and then we were told the Trailhawk they had was again blocked in by another vehicle on the lot that they can't move... you can see the car but can't drive it. Frustrated again I reluctantly said lets at least see it. Turns out, the vehicle I was shown was a grey 2015 with 55000km on it. What... didn't I say new black one??? Again not what I was initially interested in. I asked what the numbers were on the Trailhawk and waited for another 30 minutes ... at this point, my family was fed up (we'd been at the dealership almost 1.5 hours now .. this on top of the time I was there the night before) and there were no numbers in site, no vehicle I was interested in. I was assured they could get a black 2018 Trailhawk if I wanted, I said I need to see a number, to which I was asked, will I sign today? Are you kidding me... sign for a car without driving it? At this point my family is tired, frustrated and just want out of the dealership. I was told numbers for the 2015 and 2018 Trailhawk would be called to me and here I am a day later and not one phone call. Is this how you treat a customer who has been with you for over 10 years and have had 5 cars in my household from you? This has to not only be the worst customer service and run around I've ever experienced, but an insult and waste of my time. I hope you are happy with yourself Dilawri... I'll be sure to pass along the great news about your customer service.
