...went in to buy and set a new fob...2 service techs couldn't do it..I pointed out I had one operational fob...THEY SAID IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE...they wanted me to book an additional appointment to diagnose...I said no and got my money back on the fob...went home and googled programming a new fob...yes, you CAN program a new one if you have one that works...will NEVER take my business there again.

Although it's difficult to determine the source of the technicians confusion that you've pointed out, it certainly can be frustrating to attempt to fix electronic issues with 100% accuracy. We are happy that you were able to resolve your concern on your own (Google is a powerful tool) and hope that your vehicle experience outside of this one has been nothing but satisfying.
