Not a good experience in Honda We went to Honda Winnipeg/ Waverley last Friday (April 13, 2019) to get a used sale car. The sales adviser assisted and helped us to see a better options we are looking for CR-V. To be able to get that car, approval is needed and Mr. WADE WASMUTH, the financial service manager took over. At first, he was very entertaining and seemed like very nice guy but we were wrong. To cut the story short, we got approved and need to talk about how much we need to pay bi- weekly. It was higher than we expected. Then he explained to us why it went up. It went up because of the additional warranty (extended warranty, rust inhibitor, paint sealant, etc.) We asked him how much bi- weekly if we will not get a certain warranty or two/ three out of the five. His mood was slowly changing and is getting grumpy especially when we started to compute our bi- weekly. We decided not to take all the warranty, he then explained what are the risks. But still we refused to get it. We were still figuring out how much is our bi- weekly but out of nowhere he suddenly said that "Are you getting the car or not? I am just doing your favor to get the car today. I still have customers to attend to". Is that the right way of treat your customer Mr. Wade Wasmuth? Every customers has the right to know where their money goes every cent. And definitely, has the rights to refuse if the customer does not want the product. He his unprofessional in terms of talking to us as customers. We just want to share this story to make the Honda Winnipeg/ Waverley customers be aware to that guy. And for the company, improve your service and attitudes of your staffs.

Scheduled Maintenance on 2014 Fit

April 16, 2019

I originally would have rated my experience as excellent however a week or so later notice a large oil leak on the cement floor in the garage. Which was the result of the plug not tighten properly. Resulting in having to go back to the dealership to get it taken care of. Resulting in another 2 hour wait at the dealership.

I just bought my Honda Civic from my sister and booked an appointment to get the car checked to see if any parts needed to be replaced under warrenty. I made it very clear to the lady at Honda that this was only to get the car checked for warrenty purposes. The lady who booked my appointment never asked me anything about how many KM were on my car and proceeded to book me an apt. I took a day off work to accomedate this apt. I came in for my apt and the service rep told me that the warrenty was expired due to my KM being over and there was nothing they could do for me. I called the assistant manager about this issue and all he could “offer” me was that I bring in my car for an inspection and charge me full price. What a complete waste of my time. All of this could have been avoided if the lady who booked my appointment asked me how many km were on my car before booking my appointment. I expressed my concerns to the assistant manager his response was that it’s unfair to expect everyone to know the right questions. If km are a factor for voiding warranty then it should be a question asked before booking an apt based on warranty. This experience has been very negative and I will not be buying or going to this Honda again. Too top it all off the assistant manager also stated that the warrenty needed to be transferred to my name before I could even use it, if it was valid. Absolutely disappointed.
