Drop off of vehicle was very pleasant. Call for pick up of vehicle was not made, I had to follow up twice. Payment process was somewhat confusing to staff due to coupon and cashier was not rude but was abrupt, I found this to be unusual as all other staff are so friendly.

On Thursday September 5, 2019, I brought my 2014 Chevy Cruze in for general scheduled maintenance. When I picked my car up I noticed when I reached 80kms the car was jerking and the engine light was coming on and I was getting to warning messages. I returned to Lindsay GMC Buick and was told that I needed to put in high octane gas because there was something in the gas. I returned to Lindsay GMC Buick on Friday and Saturday with the same issue. I was told that the car was "SAFE" to drive. On Monday on my way to Cobourg, the car started jerking and heard a pop. The car slowed down to 60kms in seconds with trucks behind me I thought was going to be in an accident. Luckily the trucks were able to swerve around me, avoiding an accident. The car was towed back to Lindsay GMC Buick on Monday September 9, 2019, were it remains. I kept asking what the cost of the repair would be and how long it would take. The answer was also we don't know what the problem is. I called GM Customer Service because I felt I was getting the run around. It was determined on Friday September 13, 2019 that the car requires a new motor. Which will cost up to $4,000 and this is not including the rental car cost. I requested that GM be contacted in regards to possibly helping with the cost due to the fact that the car is only out of power terrain warranty by 4 months and the car had not reached the KM of $160,000 and all service has been completed only by GM dealers which proves the car has been well maintained. This was suggested by another dealership [were I have purchased another car because I am no longer comfortable or feel safe driving my 2014 Cruze]. It should be noted Lindsay GMC Buick did not suggest contacting General Motors in regards to possible help and I was told the process was a lot of work. When I was asked when my car would be completed, I was told they did not know and probably not this week which is the week of September 16th. Today is Monday September 16, 2019 and I still have no car and know word when it will be finished. The General Motors Customer Service Representative tried to get information but did not get back to me. It seems her attempt was fruitless like mine. This is not acceptable for a GM dealership, no wonder GM always gets a bad rap. I have driven Chevy's since 1979 and I have never felt that I am being taken advantage of, as I do dealing with Lindsay GMC Buick. I have contacted media, trying to get help with my situation.

Jesse was very professional and made the whole experience very pleasant. He was straight forward with the facts and did not pressure me into making a quick decision. Upon arriving for pick up, the vehicle was very clean, the paper work was all well organized and it took minimal time to complete the transaction. It was a joy to deal with Jesse. Thanks George
