The service advisor was a very rude woman. $50 shop supplies charge. Was told 10% of the bill will be the shop supplies charge. Industry standard charge. Only used them because I was in a pinch. Next time, I'll wait for Wheaton to book myvechile in. SMP needs to step up their service. 2 stars for the mechanics that fixed my truck in a timely manner. 0 stars for everything else. Follow up to Dealer response- Called SMP to ask of they would install a water pump I had purchased. Oh yes sir, not a problem sir. Michael Kocsis.. your response lacks integrity and the discussion we had is not reflected in your response. The only truth in your statement is that the work was completed. I'm guessing the reason you have openings like this is because the public is tired of dealing with billing and rude service people. Wheaton has far superior service... lesson learned.

Hello Chris, I am glad we were able to get a customer-supplied water pump installed for you. When you came in you had indicated that other shops were not able to provide the same-day service you wanted on that day. We were able to do that for you. Additionally, when you asked, we gave you a discount. Your Service Advisor gave you an excellent explanation concerning warranty on customer supplied parts, and this should not be considered rude. In fact, it is necessary. We completed exactly what you asked us to do, in the time frame you wanted, at a discount. I do not know what more we could have done. I hope your truck is running great. Jan 2, 2024 I dropped off my vehicle at SMP service to have the Timing belt and oil changed. January 3 afternoon I received a call from Devon saying my car has been fixed and is ready to get picked up. January 3 at 4:36pm i paid the said service. When i tried to do command start, it didnt work. When i turned on my car with my key, the engine light was on. I went back inside and told them about the engine light but the lady i talked to just shrugged her shoulder and said just talk to Devon . I asked where Devon is and she said he went home. And she said Well its drivable just come back tomorrow and talk to him. . When i was told that my car was ready to get picked up, i was expecting everything is going well since service said its good to go. It is really VERY INCONVENIENT to come back the following day to tell them that there’s an issue. Before SMP service would say its ready - it is expected the have checked that its really good to go. VERY INCONVENIENT FOR THE CUSTOMER AND FRUSTRATING AND NO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Its so infuriating since i badly need my command start due to my health issues. Now im IN DOUBT if my Timing Belt has really been changed with a brand new one and if my oil is really changed because of the engine light that is showing. I work night shift and now instead of going home and sleep, i have to go back to SMP service and deal with it which is REALLY VERY INCONVENIENT FOR ME AS THE CUSTOMER. Jan. 4, 2024 i went back at 7:30am talked to Devon and he said the engine light is on maybe because my car already has 200+ kilometres but he said to make sure they will scan why the engine light is on. After my car has been scanned, the person who scanned said it is related to the previous repair which was the timing belt that was replaced. So my car has to stay for the day so they can fix it. Later that afternoon Devon updated me that it was related to the changing of timing belt so they have to fix it again.. so i dont have to pay for it. He said my cabin filter is clogged and needs to be changed so i asked if they have cabin filter available so they can just change it. Devon said they have available cabin filter then talked to service department and he said the cabin filter will be of no charge. Im thankful they gave me free cabin filter but im not coming back to do business anymore.

Hello Vanessa, we are truly sorry that you had to return for service a second time, in a short period, in order to completely repair your timing chain/tensioner/actuator/guides. We understand that it was not convenient for you. I am glad, however, that we were able to complete additional repairs at no cost to you. Also, I am relieved our Shop Foreman identified the deficiency in heat in the passenger compartment, and we were happy to remedy this at no charge as well. Clearly, this gesture did not fully offset your frustration. Our hope is that, after some consideration, you allow us another chance to build back our relationship. Thank you for being an SMP Service customer, and we hope to have the chance to meet your automotive needs in the future.
