Thank you for your positive review of the MOA staff and of our college which is always greatly appreciated. It is so energizing to read positive reviews as they inspire our staff in all areas to keep teaching and training no matter what challenges life may bring. Covid has made it challenging for all students and staff however together with lots of passion and positive energy we can achieve great results. We are so glad that you had a great experience and again thank you for your review.

From the time I inquired about the program until after I graduated I had nothing but a positive experience! Adam made it easy for me to get all the information I needed for registration and connected me to Abbie who then registered me, helped, and answered all the questions I had about OSAP. Emily, Patrick and Manal were hands down the best teachers I've ever encountered. They are empathetic, professional, and have a very unique way of teaching. They are just great people in general. They really understand you and work with you through any troubles you may have. They take time to explain things and make sure you understand. Karla and Christy have been a great help in creating a resume, cover letter and helping with any job searching/job-related questions you may have. They really try finding you a placement that suits you. My class was the first fully online class during the covid-19 pandemic. I was extremely impressed with how the college managed to cope and still operate being that they were also new to the online teaching/learning process. All the staff I encountered at Westervelt College were wonderful. Thank you for such an amazing, life-changing experience!

We are so happy that you had such a great experience from the time you enrolled to the time you graduated. We are so proud of our staff and just as proud of our students and graduates. It is obvious that you were very committed so with a committed staff and with your focus it usually leads to solid results. The journey from enrollment through education and onto careers planning happens by intent however it is so pleasurable for everyone involved when a student sends us a confirmation that it worked so well as well as it did. So congratulations and thank you for your feedback at this time. We wish you all the best with your future and please reach out to us if you need anything. Again thank you for your positive review.

I, as politely as possible, wish to express the blatant neglect and indifference many of us have felt from staff at Westervelt, and the impact it has had on our educational experience as a whole. Especially when it comes to the level of disorganization, and lack of communication that left us dazed, and confused at certain points as to what was happening. There were also weak efforts to accommodate individual needs on their part. There was also a lack of understanding, compassion and empathy to at least consider that we are not just students paying their salaries while attending the programs, but we are human beings with feelings and personal lives outside of class hours that affect us differently on a day to day basis that requires a sensitive level of understanding and accomodation should circumstances arise that leave us incapable of attending class. Things should not just be assumed and pinned on us for simply being lazy and not taking necessary proactive steps to keep up to par with school workload and expectations as though we are there to just waste valuable time and money. Many times any of us came to confide in staff with a concern, we were met with a dismissive, passive aggressive demeanour that in its underlying tone basically said, "It's your fault, your responsibility, and we are not at fault for your failures and struggles." Perhaps Westervelt should consider the level of competency required of each teacher as well, in order to properly deliver content and material, so that students are set up for success instead of leaving us in a place where we encounter empty educational gaps we have to take it upon ourselves to fill in by "self-teaching." No one ever seems to be on the same page, or they somehow find it enough to read off the slides and give us outdated content in some areas that we are expected to adapt to and work around on our own initiative in order to even survive from one module to the next. Westervelt considers themselves to be a private college prided on professionalism and serving a positive experience to all its students and visitors, and although I have had very positive experiences with majority of the teachers I have encountered, there is much left to be said for some I would rather not name because I have a feeling it will not even dent your resolve or conviction to change their ways. I have seen that evidence in some of the highly expressive negative reviews left here on Google from quite a while ago and yet see no upgrade even up to this point in time. Not to mention the fact it is not an accredited school and does not allow for transfer of credits should a student -for whatever reason- choose to move programs. I will simply leave it at that, and hope Westervelt becomes more aware that the way the staff constructs the educational experience in its entirety actually makes a difference to students, and most of them can read between the lines and see what is happening even if they do not confront you about it directly. This predominantly seems to be on account of wanting to avoid confrontation, keeping their heads down and bearing it long enough to acquire their diplomas and be on their way. However, I don't find there is a sense of proper accountability this way and found it necessary to contribute to the list of negative reviews. If Westervelt's students can't even come to staff and express concerns that are hard to hear, and they shake off the responsibility and accountability they must uphold and minister to in regards to those concerns, then they should at least not pretend to care for the individuals who occupy the seats behind the desks who are there in hopes of moving towards a productive future. You'd be surprised how many students even now, walking in and out of those doors express the exact sentiments I am verbalizing now... I do not recommend this school to anyone after my experience.

I am a current student enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technician Assistant program at Westervelt College. I definitely recommend this school and the MLTA program here. My experience from the beginning until now has been a positive one! The admission process was smooth and I received information and assistance promptly via email/phone calls. The school provided text books and loaned a laptop in order to be able to start the theory part of the program online. The MLTA program coordinator, is excellent! She is highly organized and is a wonderful teacher and a great role model! All the teachers involved in the MLTA program have years of experience in the industry and put in their best effort to help you succeed by sharing valuable insights. They have always been happy to help and take the time to patiently coach students, especially during the practical sessions at the college lab; which is well equipped to help students gain all necessary practical skills. The college also has other subjects included in the MLTA program like basics in Microsoft word and Excel as well as a Resume and Job Interview module which is very helpful. This is a fast paced program and gets you career ready in a year. It has been an intense, yet enjoyable year for me and I feel very confident in the education I have received at Westervelt. I am now looking forward with much excitement to starting placement and putting my knowledge and skills into practice!

I started Nov 30th. I'm on the PSW program. Because of covid restrictions, it had to be done on line, but now we are at the school and practicing all we learned while we were on line. I do have to say that our instructor that showed us theory online did an amazing job, she was always prepared, and she was able to keep it fun and very educational and I sure learned a lot. (Thanks Jennifer) I can imagine how amazing she must be teaching live. Now that we are approaching our placement I'm both nervous and excited! I would most definitely recommend anyone thinking of becoming a PSW to consider Westervelt as their number one option to attend. If I had one negative thing would be the Eloft and Enriched programs. I found them to be geared to that beginner individual who is just starting to build a career or has had no experience with finances, or how to build a portfolio when looking for a job. I would say that a lot of the time spent on a program that we will have no access to when we're done does not really help. Of course this is personal opinion. Overall I am quite pleased to have chosen Westervelt at a time when I'm reinventing my self towards the Health Care industry. Thanks Westervelt!!
