Throughout my program we have had many assignments. Questions are either correct or they are not, I have seen assignments where I have been deducted points but others with the same errors have not. Answers were accepted as correct when they were not, and most recently we were given an assignment to look up Postal codes... everything is “google it”. Google while being a great resource tool in some incidences is not infallible. We were given what was supposed to be residential addresses. The text book even specified to use Canada posts website, and is the correct procedure in any office, google as always was taught... and one question in particular was what I thought was a trick question. It was RR 4 in Dauphin. If you “googled” it a commercial business with pick up in the city of dauphin and a city of dauphin postal code comes up with station main... this is not correct nor was it the assignment. I could not find the information anywhere so I called the R.M. Of Dauphin and was told that in their R.M. Rural routes have comp and site numbers. She was nice enough to find the rr 4 postal code and provide it to me. I explained to a fellow classmate that the address was not a valid residential address and explained what the RM had told me. My instructor got right pissed at me because I did the assignment. Correctly. Google is not the correct tool to use to look up postal codes. Classmates were adding street addresses to RR’s in that RM and google if the addressess with the fake names and getting completely different provinces. And adding street addresses to Gen del addresses... but that was ok, the instructor said it would be accepted. I did the work and did it correctly and when I said I thought it was wrong to teach something so basic, I got told off. And I did privately send the instructor an email she knew it was incorrect but didn’t care that we were being taught the simplest office procedure incorrectly. I said that it could be a real problem for students from other countries who don’t know what an RR is or that it means different things in different provinces. Someone without office experience would not know and different. That is a pretty big problem when it comes to privacy and legal issues. I am really concerned and considering dropping out of my program to go to another college. If something that simple is being taught incorrectly, what else is? I knew what to do. Google is not even allowed in some offices. I was not wrong in expecting that in an office procedure class to be taught correct office procedure. Super disappointed especially when I was singled out and bullied by another student for expressing my concern.

The price for the courses were way too high, at least for the TV and Radio broadcasters, especially since you might only get into a minimum wage position. You would be foolish to pay $14,000 to get a minimum wage part time job

Hi Neil, the tuition for the program includes use of expensive software and industry equipment that is necessary for training. It also includes access to all of the student benefits and services Herzing has to offer. This is a great career that can offer increased compensation over time. If you'd like to discuss with an employer contact or the program Instructor please let us know and email the President - email@example.com to coordinate.

When describing the training program I was interested in the representative gave me the impression that the course offered was not up to today's standards required by the trade.

From the first time I connected with Herzing College, I have been treated with respect. From the gentleman who made the first appointment to Cheylynn who helped me find funding & encouraged me thru to Robin & Caroline who are helping me now, this is a place of encouragement & opportunity. I am so thankful to be a current student here!

I attended the first interview very excited thinking in start my education but after 20 minutes talking with the stuff, I discovered that there is not my course available until 2019. This situation made me feel deceived, angry and sad. Honestly, I prefer only one e-mail explaining to me the situation.Only, Sorry this course is not available. But they never said me before the interview that this course has a waitlist.

Hi Teresa, thank you for taking the time to come by the campus. It's important to take the time to discuss courses even if they are wait-listed, as sometimes spots open up. Thank you for your feedback, it is valuable to us.
