Wasted a whole day trying to book a service appointment. Saturday morning I called and got put to Service managers voice mail, left message. No Reply. Hour later I called back, service receptionist said they were busy but that she would personally hand him a not to call me back. No call or reply. Called back a few hours later after lunch, no receptionist only service voice mail. Left message to call me back, no reply all day... Waited 3-4 days - no call back. Called again Wednesday - they said this was the first they heard of me calling. BRUTAL!!! Error code was then already gone and they couldn't do ANYTHING. So much for service!

Firstly, I apologise this wasn't addressed sooner. We didn't have a full time online presence and this got missed. Secondly, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with us. Please contact me at jmichell@wheatonchev.com if you'd like to revisit this. If not, I understand, and I hope you'll give us a chance to win back your trust and respect in the future.

I brought my vehicle to Wheaton Service department as it had/has a disturbing noise. Their team diagnosed the issue (wrongly) to the tune of over $3000.00. Again, I brought it with a specific concern. I was told - and indeed, the invoice shows - "noise no longer present". When I brought it back - with the noise clearly present- I was told that noise is not anything requiring repair. I wonder how often they must explain to customers that they were unable to remedy their concern, but that some other stuff got fixed for several thousand dollars! Then the obvious 'hope' that you will go away instead of standing up for what is right... pretty reflective of the business practice at this dealership.

ZERO stars is my rating. 2005 GMC Envoy was experiencing a whining/moaning noise, only while in A4WD or 4Hi and mostly while decelerating. Researched symptoms and came up with possible issues including Transfer Case Fluid and Front Differential Fluid. Had those changed (this is important!). When the problem didn't go away, I took it to Wheaton. They 'definitely heard the noise' and diagnosed it as failed front diff. bearings. The Service Advisor let me know and I told them to proceed. Got a call back later that the gears were also damaged and the route to go was a full diff. rebuild - about $2400. I approved the work. Next call was to let me know that the alignment was off due to the repair work undertaken, and a ball joint was also needing replacement. Total bill was just shy of $3300. I picked up the SUV and noticed the next day that the sounds were still there and were no different. Dropped it back off at Wheaton the following Monday. The service advisor called to say that yes, they could hear this sound and that it was 'normal'. This is the same sound I just paid heavily to correct! Now it's normal! I picked up the vehicle (no bill) but sent an email to service advisor, Assistant Service Manager, and Director of Fixed Operations explaining my dissatisfaction and requesting an explanation. SIX DAYS later after being completely ignored, I sent another email asking who I could escalate to. Within a couple hours, the Director responded saying the noise was from using the vehicle in 4Hi when it was dry. So - first it was from a differential requiring a rebuild, then normal, now from misuse? He also says if they don't fix the failed bearings, the repair becomes more expensive - apparently not even realizing I was charged for a full differential rebuild!?! Now the kicker - the Director of Field Operations tells me the differential fluid was black and full of metal. It was changed 12 kilometers prior! Ooops, somebody made a mistake! Failure to correct the ACTUAL issue causing the noise is bad enough, not being able OR WILLING to find it when it's returned is worse. But the most egregious - hoping that by ignoring my requests for explanation and my concerns, that I would just walk away from $3300 and the worst experience I've ever had with auto repair. I will pursue satisfaction, and I will be taking it to another shop for actual correction of the issue - and never going back to Wheaton.
