I've been buying new Honda vehicles since my early 20s. When I walked in to upgrade from my Odyssey to a Pilot, it was a pretty guaranteed sale. But the service was so terrible that I have been test driving other SUVs for the past 2 weeks. First, my husband and I were in the show room looking at the Pilot for a good 10 mins while salesmen were standing near the cubicles chatting and laughing together. Finally my husband grabbed someone for service. We were asked if we wanted to buy the same day and we said no, that we wanted to make an informed decision, and that although we were pretty sure we wanted the Pilot, we would check out the Toyota Highlander as well just in case. Then we asked about the Honda Veterans discount and he told us he didn't know anything about it and would have to ask his manager. But then he didn't even bother to go ask. He priced the vehicle online(we could have done that at home) and gave us that figure. Again he re-iterated that unless we bought today, there was no point in talking to his manager about a possible deal. Then I asked about a trade in(my van was in the shop for servicing at the time) and was told they didn't want it because it had been involved in a collision and that he would have to call around as it would probably have to be auctioned. That was 2 weeks ago and I never heard back from him. Today I sold my Honda on kijiji and on Monday, I'm heading to Nissan and Toyota to buy my SUV as they both offered a generous veterans discount.

Well you can't buy anything used there. They sold me a 2014 truck with an 11 yr old battery, 4 yr old tires, dirty oil, and a broken sway bar. They changed the tires from the time we looked at it till the day I drove it home
