They sold me a car with no horn. Came “saftied”

Would give 0 stars if I could. I very recently bought a car from haldimand motors. During the original safety, the cars horn was completely overlooked as well as 2 tires and one of the rotors.- yes they sold me a “saftied” car with no horn. After purchasing the car, it has spent more time at haldimand motors than it has on the road. Cars often only come with one key, so beware. The most recent time my car was in the shop, I had mentioned 3 issues, I was told no mechanical work could be completed at the time and the other issue (non mechanical) was completely overlooked causing me to have to make yet another appointment.

Extended Warranty Scam

I purchased my 2018 Toyota CH-R last year and noticed recently there was an intermittent issue with the a/c. I took it for an oil change and to have them take a look at it. When I bought the car, I was talked into the extended warranty and was told ‘nothing to worry about for 3 years!’ And on the first time I need that warranty, I’m told I will have to pay $250 for the diagnostic. I have to return in 2 weeks for them to look for the leak and was told there might be a charge then too. Don’t get talked into the extended warranty. I’m just going to ride my warranty out and I will never be back. Sales staff should be held accountable for what they tell customers.

Haldimand Motors was recommended by several people, and I’m so glad I took their advice. The reception and sales staff were fantastic. The selection of vehicles was excellent. The whole process of trading in my old car and purchasing a new (used) one when more smoothly than I ever expected. I will definitely be recommending Haldimand Motors to everyone I know.

I’m very happy to have purchased my first car from Halimand Motors. I enjoyed the staff there and I found exactly what I was looking for, as the website described it. However, in the unavoidable situation, it was a very far drive away. I do feel that digital communications needs to be sorted out a little, in terms of ways to contact the dealership. Overall, very good experience with the sales and service staff.

Matt was quick to respond to my initial inquiries, and found the answers when I needed them. I asked them to fix the stone chips on the hood, verify the color of the transmission fluid and fix a rattle in the dashboard. They did it all! Oh, and Dan made fun of my plumbers butt. Kudos, Dan. Kudos. Would drive the hour and half to buy a car here again in a heartbeat.
