Took too long, on my dollar

My service appointment took a few hours longer than i was originally told. I was not notified of the delay or why there was one. I feel that the time allotments for each procedure is already pretty generous. But when it takes 20-30% longer, with no explanation, and im charged for the extra time, i feel im being goldbricked.
