I rarely write reviews but feel I have to given my recent experience with Wheaton Kia. I made an offer on a used car. They told me is was to low and they needed $2k more. The car was in good shape and was to have $4200 in repairs done as per their recent SGI out of province inspection. So I offered the $2k more on a Friday and the salesman said that should be acceptable but he would need to run it by his manager. I heard nothing until the following Wednesday - despite emails and calls to the business. I was told my salesman was away but they would pass the message on. It didn’t happen. Anyways I drove in from out of town to get a deal done in person as O was getting no correspondence from the salesman. Well now my offer needed another $250 PLUS $500 for Admin fees and $600 for reetching (cause city police apparently to require this - lol). All add on fees which are nearly all profit. Then I ask for things in writing (like the repairs which weee still to be done). They come back and said they decided not to do $2000 of the repairs as they weren’t needed. Did they take $2K off the price - well no! No discount. Then when they calculated the all in price including taxes - I noticed it was $500 more than what I calculated. After some back and forth and pretending to do in-depth calculations on his calculator - I was told the admin fee was not $500 - but now $900 as it was an out of province. It was at this point - I packed up my things and left. I felt I was being taken advantage of, lots of hidden fees, things they said were to be done - yet when pressed - they weren’t going to do them. Also communications was absolutely deplorable. This has turned my off a Wheaton Kia for new or used. Shop elsewhere.

Our experience with Kia was a complete joke. They were not entirely honest with the car they sold us. The AC was the first to go not even a month in owning the car. Brought it back to Kia they said all it needed was to be charged. The next month we lost AC. Afterwards we brought the car back and it was past purchase warranty. They refused to fix the AC for free and wanted charge us $2500 dollars for a car that was faulty. We bought this car in 2023 to find out that the breaks, tie rods, and now transmission is gone in our car. Not even a 10 year old car and that is what happened. What Kia did was took advantage of us to make a quick buck. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. They are very questionable.

If I could give you guys negative figures I would do it immediately… You guys are such a piece of …….cornering your customer to the deal you guys want! Not tailored to what the CUSTOMER WANT!! and even tried to scare your customer that you’ve spent thousands of dollars already with the unit that you didn’t do a thing aside from cleaning it!!!! Do you really think that you can just ask someone to sign that kind of waver that you can just ruin someone’s credit profile for the next 7 yrs of even a decade or so! Who don’t give a …. To your customer all you want to do is sell your car!!!! BTW, on the same day MITSUBISHI APPROVED our car loan so THANKS TO YOUR CARGAGE SERVICE

Wheaton Kia currently has my vehicle (will give update). A 2022 Kia Seltos that died on me while I was driving 2 days ago. I had noticed the engine cutting out on me in the week prior and booked for service for July 2nd. The vehicle didn’t make it, as it died and wouldn’t restart at all. After getting it towed to Wheaton Kia, they called to tell me the engine needs replacing. You would think that after providing more than enough adequate documentation and receipts for oil changes it would be covered under warranty? Nope. Service manager Trevor is charging me 2.5 hours of labour to essentially remove a valve cover to inspect the engine/oil. He gave a lot of rude tone when questioned during our call, I might add. This is an over $400.00 cost. I’m a working parent with a mortgage and bills, so I don’t just have $400 to fork over when this should be covered. One of my best friends is an auto technician here in the city (he has access to labour times), and quoted me 1 hour labour and $165.00 for the same job. I guess it’s common practice that customers will eat the cost of inspections even though their vehicles are faulty and the engines quit. It’s really alarming to see that Wheaton Kia over-charges for service in general and literally do not stand behind their products whatsoever. Even ones that have full warranty. What’s even more interesting is that there was a recall (Feb. 2025) on my exact year, make, and model of Kia. A recall on the piston rings no less, which can result in stalling, increased oil consumption, seized engines, and even vehicle fires. I wasn’t notified by Wheaton Kia or Kia Canada by any method at all. I guess we will see if they try to make me pay for this engine inspection, and I’m even more concerned that they will try to make me buy a new engine altogether and not honour the warranty. Again this vehicle is still under FULL WARRANTY. I will report back here in an edited version. But for the time being, please do yourself a favour and SPEND THE MONEY YOU WORK SO HARD FOR ELSEWHERE. They will do anything necessary to close a deal, but when it comes to fixing issues you will be met with deception, dishonesty, and will be treated as garbage. I cannot wait to get this issue resolved so I can trade in elsewhere for a more reputable vehicle from a more reputable dealership.

I will buy a new Kia Seltos 2025 from Weatonkia at the dealership. The overall experience was very smooth. Things were taken care of throughout the way. I was explained all the details about the process and vehicle with all questions answered. Really enjoyed the overall dealership experience.
