Update: Changed from 3 to 1 star based on the owner’s response. I don’t understand how my poor credit explains your salesperson’s lack of communication or why my MVI was for one year instead of two. Based on the owner’s reply, it seems Race Auto treats customers poorly if their credit isn’t great. I never attacked Jayden as a person—I don’t care how great you think he is. He used shady sales tactics on a young woman in desperate need of a vehicle and continuously made me feel extreme pressure to buy the first car offered, which isn’t right. The language he used was textbook sales red flags! everyone told me to walk away but my old car was totalled and I needed something fast. If that’s how you choose to run your business, fine, but don’t make tough times harder on your customers. You’ve lost not only me as a customer but also my dad, who has purchased multiple vehicles from you. Together, we spent around $30K at Race Auto in the last month. It’s disappointing to see such an unprofessional response from an adult business owner. Maybe instead of taking my honest experience personally on behalf of Jayden, you should take responsibility like a professional. my situation was complicated—I had less-than-perfect credit . Jayden, who initially offered me a financing option that was nearly $80 over my stated bi-weekly budget which I’m not going to lie brought tears to my eyes when he told me the biweekly payment. When I expressed that it wasn’t feasible, he repeatedly emphasized how much time he had spent on my file, how hard he worked, and how I was getting a great deal. While I appreciated the effort and made sure to say so, it started to feel more like a guilt trip than genuine customer service. He kept using terms similar to “this deal is for today only” or “times running out” which made me feel a lot of pressure which I didn’t need after recently totalling my car, he even told me that by exploring other financing options, I had ruined my chances of approval (he called me at 8p.m. during the week with this info and it sent me into a bit of a spiral thinking I was absolutely screwed —despite the fact that his original offer wasn’t within my budget so I felt I had no other options than to look elsewhere. he did find a vehicle in my price range. However, the experience after signing the papers was frustrating. I understood it would take time, but the communication completely dropped off. Before purchasing, Jayden was constantly reaching out, even during my work hours. After I signed, I heard almost nothing unless I initiated contact. When I did reach out, I was told the car was in the shop and would be ready soon, but then days would pass with no updates. Despite knowing I was without a vehicle, they only offered a loaner before I made the purchase—but wasn’t mentioned at all again after the purchase. I had a rental for some of the time but went about a week without a vehicle, but they never bothered to check in again, I get this is a courtesy and I appreciate it but it was pushed on me multiple times before buying the car but not offered or mentioned again after signing papers even when they knew it’d take a bit for the car to get here and fully ready. Eventually, I was told the car was being detailed and would be ready soon. A few more days passed, and when I followed up again, I learned (for the first time) that the windshield had been replaced, which delayed things further. My dad happened to be buying a car from the same dealership at the time, and his salesperson mentioned they were short on mechanics, which explained the delays—something I was never told directly. When I finally received the car, I noticed the MVI sticker was for only one year instead of the required two. I contacted Jayden, who said he would speak to the mechanics, but then days passed with no response. After following up multiple times, I finally reached out to another team member, Scott, who got back to me right away and had the issue resolved immediately. I very much appreciate Scott’s efforts in correcting this!

Jayden is an amazing sales person and truly cares about every customer he works with regardless of their situation. You would never deal with a more honest person than Jayden and everything he said is true. In my 30 years in the business I cannot tell you how many times I have seen us get an amazing approval, get help from the finance company and work an amazing deal out for the customer. Then the customer shops their credit and the next thing I see is that the approval has changed and alot of time the application then becomes declined after the lender reviews your credit file, especially in instances involving subprime credit. We obtained the best car and best interest rate given your past credit on file and worked with many lenders to obtain the best approval we could for your situation. Be assured we exhausted all options to accommodate your needs. Thank you for your feedback.
