I have always had my Jeep serviced at a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealership and I have always trusted everything that they told me. Whenever there was an issue with a part that they noticed, they would offer to show me in the shop and explain why it should be replaced/fixed, what exactly it does and what could happen if I didn't get it fixed. Having recently moved to Kingston, I saw no reason not to continue taking my Jeep to a dealership for service, and Google showed me that Jim Thompsons was the closest, so off I went. After calling several times throughout the day and not getting an answer in the service department, I drove up to drop it off for the night and pick it up the next day. I got there 45 minutes before they closed for the night, and said that I would like to pick it up sometime the next day. Within half an hour of dropping off my vehicle, the advisor called me and said that they had looked it over and there were three things that needed to be done, one of which was apparently worth $780 plus tax.. I told her not to do this work, and to call me the next day when the oil change and few other small things were done and I would come pick it up. at 1:00 the next day I had still not heard anything, and called myself to find out whether or not I could pick up my vehicle. My advisor answered the phone and I explained who I was and she told me that she had just done my paperwork and would call me back in 7-10 days when my warranty part came in that they noticed needed to be replaced. This to me sounded like I could not drive the vehicle in the meantime, and when I asked for clarification on this, she sounded quite annoyed and told me that I can drive it in the meantime and could come pick it up whenever. To sum up my visit, I did not feel welcome at all as a first time customer, and the communication to me was very poor. A couple of days later, I decided to go home to visit family and to take my vehicle to the Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer that I have always dealt with for a second opinion, and even given the same diagnosis, I would much rather have had them do the work. They right away looked at my vehicle and confirmed what I had found out at Jim Thompson, although their price for the exact same work was estimated at $245. More than $500 cheaper than Jim Thompson. On top of this, they also stock the part that was covered under extended warranty knowing that they replace so many of them. I found Jim Thompson service department very unprofessional and unwelcoming. You would think that they would treat a first time customer a little better than the way I was treated. I am very glad that I got a second price at another dealership. I don't even understand how two dealerships can vary in price that much.

Service department is very good at effectively doubling the estimated cost of whatever you have come in for. They never really have a good excuse - "it happens some time" or "it's just one of those things". Then have the nerve to cut 10% of the already doubled price, like they're doing you a favour. Oh, they are friendly, but of course I could manage that while draining someone's bank account, knowing they really don't have another option. Small wonder only 23% of people buying a Dodge get a second one. I'm going to join the majority for a change. Next vehicle sure won't be a Dodge.

DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE DETAILED HERE!!! Very poor quality and I didn't get my car back in great shape. I purchased a Groupon to get my car detailed here just last week and I am not happy with the results. I paid for the platinum package which was to include a hand wash, exterior wax and complete interior detail. When I picked up my car,there was dirt on the outside of the doors that was there when I dropped it off and the front console inside was not even touched. The rest of the inside was alright,but the exterior was horrible. On top of that,I got it back with 2 small dents in the door and the rear-view camera had been knocked out of place and I have to pay to get it fixed. I dropped my car off the night before and picked it up just before close,so they had tons of time to work on it. I will never go here again and would never recommend this place to my friends, family or co-workers! SO DISAPPOINTED!

Don't get your cars detailed here!!! It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I bought a groupon for detailing and I dropped my vehicle off at 8 am, and was told it would be 3-4 hours. 5 hours later I inquired about my vehicle, was told another hour. 2 hours later, after waiting 7 hours in total, I was able to pick up my vehicle. When I attempted to address this issue with the staff member, I was basically belittled and the staff member had no customer service skills, didn't apologize, and didn't care that I missed appointments due to their inability to be upfront and honest with the customer. If they had told me in advance that my car was going to be hijacked for the day, I would've made other arrangements. It's one thing to make a mistake, but then not to own up to it and belittle the customer is unacceptable. I was simply ushered toward the counter to pay my taxes. Never again, will I go here, and I will tell everyone I work with the same. Horrible.

This is a fantastic dealership! I have bought my last 2 cars there, a brand new Dodge Grand Caravan and a used 2004 Infinity G35. Both cars have been amazing!! The sales and service has always been excellent in all my dealings! Would recommend to anyone!!
