Dissatisfaction with first year's maintenance costs

I am satisfied with Genevieve's handling of my last service visit, on Feb 5, 2015. I am not pleased, however, with having had to replace transmission cooler lines at a cost of $485 (taxes included). This brings my maintenance costs for this vehicle to nearly $1200 for the first year of ownership, even though I purchased an extended warranty when I bought it. The cooler lines were a specific exclusion on the warranty policy. One of my main reasons for buying from a dealer (instead of privately) is the expectation that the vehicle has been thoroughly checked out and won't cost me a fortune to maintain, at least not right away. If this is what I can expect to spend for annual maintenance on the Equinox, I'm not sure I'll be keeping it very long.

Jamie Erb presented himself as a very honest, informative and friendly person. I felt very comfortable with him and at no time did I ever feel pressured. He discussed the different options and answered my many concerns and questions. He was very open and cordial when we said we were going to look at another dealership. When we returned and told Jamie our decision, he was very efficient in getting everything ready and introducing us to Richard Eccleston to complete the financing and insurance agreement. Body Shop repair of Drivers side Mirror no call to say ordered parts were in .. after repair sticky substance on mirror hard to remove ... inside door panel had small crack in vicinity of mirror repair..... told it was there before repair to mirror ....would be going to autopac Feb27th???
