Fantastic Experience at Winnipeg Honda. First car purchased, and second car will be purchased from there as well. Sales people(Jay Finck) are knowledgeable and go the extra mile. Service calls are a breeze. Highly recommend.

Things started well enough with a detailed recall notice providing all the information needed to understand what actions were required and how to go about getting the recall service performed. I particularly appreciated the ability to book an appointment online but I was disappointed that either the information I provided there isn’t provided to the agents I dealt with or they didn’t know how to access it. I was called to confirm the recall number which I had already entered into the web appointment as part of that process which to my mind at least partly defeats collecting it that way in the first place. I had also indicated on the web appointment that I’d be waiting for the service to be completed so the service teams could plan accordingly this will become important later. I arrived on time for my 3:30 PM appointment and there was a small reasonable delay before I could hand over the vehicle to an available service agent. I was mildly surprised the agent didn’t offer a name but I wasn’t overly concerned by that and the transaction was fine otherwise. I had been asked if I would be waiting or coming back and had indicated I’d be waiting in the service area. I’m willing to take part of the accountability here as I probably should have become concerned something had gone wrong sooner. My experience with big dealer shops like the one I visited a 3 hour wait for a 45 min process isn’t that unusual. Service personal had been coming out to talk to people who were waiting before I arrived before me so the delay seemed to be in line with the evidence of people waiting. I was reading to give myself something to do so it did dawn on me a little late that I was the last person around and I hadn’t seen any service people for a while so I went looking for someone to find the service area empty. Fortunately, I was able to find one of the sales personnel who seemed to be as incredulous as I was that Service had all left with me sitting in the service waiting area. This part of the experience was good as I’m sure my frustration was leaking through and it really wasn’t their fault. They did get ahold of a manger and got approval to loan me a car so I could get home without needing to take my car and then restart the whole scheduling process again. I was impressed though that under that arrangement that someone from the dealership drove my car back to me and picked up the loaner saving me the trip. So, from my perspective the best part of the whole experience is how well the service recovery was handled rather than the experience itself. Unfortunately for this dealership this whole experience washes out as mediocre for me despite the excellent service recovery and it just tends to reinforce my opinions about dealer service locations.

I had to drop my vehicle off for a battery issue. Andrew has to keep my vehicle and provided me with a vehicle from Enterprise at no cost to me as I had an appointment to keep that afternoon. I expected that my vehicle would be there overnight, but received a phone call in the early afternoon to inform me that it was already done. I had my vehicle back by 5:00 that same evening, and was very thankful. Vehicle has been working fine ever since.
