I needed the car's clock-radio reset after getting a new battery elsewhere. The service rep did it quickly and for free! Thank you!

Back around Sept 2022 I called this dealership & I spoke to Shane regarding the 2022 blue Honda Civic Sport advertised on their website. I was informed by Shane that they were keeping it as their demo model for clients who wanted to test drive a 2023 Honda Civic, and as a result they wouldn't be putting it up for sale until November or December of 2022. I indicated to Shane that I was OK with this and for him to call me if/when it became available. Shane called me several weeks later to see if I was still interested in purchasing this vehicle and I told him yes. He then indicated that he would call me back when they were going to put it up for sale. I never heard back from Shane for several weeks so I called the dealership one evening and asked for Shane but he was off that evening. I was talking to the other sales manager who informed me that the vehicle in question had been sold to another customer. I explained to him that Shane was to followup with me when they were going to put it up for sale. He apologized to me for dropping the ball as this was not his fault but it was due to Shane's oversight. Needless to say I was very disappointed to hear this news especially when I was reassured by Shane that he would follow up with me first. I still can't fathom why there wasn't better communication between Shane and other staff in the Sales Dept regarding this matter. As a result of this, I will not be putting any trust in West City Honda with regards to purchasing a new vehicle from them.

Hello Peter, We must apologize about the lack in communication between Shane and yourself. Our understanding of the matter is that you, along with multiple other potential customers were interested in this vehicle when it became available. Unfortunately when it did become available the sales staff hit the phones and there was a customer ready to purchase same day. It is a very unique time in the car industry and the limited availability in the market makes it difficult to satisfy all of our potential customers. This vehicle, likely being the last new 2022 Blue Civic Sport available in the province made this a very desirable vehicle and as a result we chose to sell this to someone within our immediate neighborhood. We apologize again that you missed out on this opportunity and hope that you were able to secure a new vehicle elsewhere. Thank you for your feedback,

I love my new GMC Terrain; however, West City Honda lacked in thier communication and made an easy sale of a vehicle very complicated. I knew the person who traded in the Terrain, and for an ongoing 6 week my Mom was given the run around about them taking it to auction or putting it on the lot. After many communications they put it on the lot and jacked the price up $5000. They wouldn't even consider budging on the price at all. I test drive the vehicle, fell in love. I want the vehicle. Car Fax show an accident, interior peeling and a few other thing - they wont budge a cent but agree to give me $250 more on my trade in. I confim I want the vehicle. They indicate I need to get down to the dealership to sign paperwork - I rush over there to sign the paperwork, sales manger Scott fails to tell Sales representative Paul that there was an agreement for an additional $250 off my trade in...Sign some paper work, wait around then Paul tells me that this could take hours so he will email the recipet with the deposit. Paul and I arrange that I will the vehicle up the following Wed at 4:15 p.m. Monday comes around - Sales Manger Scott calls me and wants to arrange pick up for Thursday. I advised him that there was arrangements for Wed. After some back forth I advise him that I want Wed pick up date honoured as that was arranged. This was the first sign of lack of basic communication Scott then sends me a bill of sale that is wrong. Didn't factor the deposit and double charged me this $399 Honda warranty fee that I asked to have waved several times, as the vehicle was not a Honda. Nope wouldn't do it. Get another bill of sale that includes a licensing fee that no one disclosed to me. Only $5.00 but unimpressed at this point. If I were the sales manager in that position with a customer that was frustrated as I was I would have ate the $5.00 charge. Nope! Show up to pick up the car, I'm tyring to get out of there as I have to be work, and have been less impressed with the service. Sign all the paper work with a different representative named Shane. I leave, been gone for 30 seconds and get a call that they have given me paperwork that I shouldn't have and ask me to bring it back. Im on my way to work and cant do it. I get several follow up emails about this paperwork. Overall my experience with West City Honda was less desirable, the lack of communication is completely unprofessional and then the sales manager makes excuses about covering for someone, and this person on holidays. All things that effect me, yet a direct reflection of how these people do business. Too many hands in the pot and the communication not taking place among people that work in the same office is unbelievable!

Hi Jenna, Thank you for taking the time to express your overall experience here at West City Honda and allowing us the opportunity to reflect. I must apologize that there were some bumps in the road as we navigated to put this deal together for you. One of our key players here at the dealership is away on vacation and we obviously missed some important steps during the transition. All the errors with the paperwork were rectified prior to the vehicle delivery and we thank you for working with us to provide the documents that we mistakenly gave to you. We have a very thorough reconditioning process here and it does take weeks to have our vehicles prepared for sale. You were fortunate to have known that this vehicle would potentially be available and a big reason we chose to retail it was because of your interest in it. Otherwise it might have ended up available elsewhere for a different price. We pride ourselves in the quality of product that we offer and as a result, price our vehicles at or below market value. We are also entitled to some profit on the deal and apologize that you felt wronged in our position to hold firm on our price. There were some costs involved in reconditioning and advertising that need to be respected. Our impression when you left here last week was a positive one, and had I known about your ongoing frustrations we might have offered our apologies prior to you driving away. This was definitely a breakdown in communication on our end. If there is anything we can do to make things right at this point, please do not hesitate to reach out to shane.lee@westcityhonda.ca. We hope you enjoy your GMC Terrain and look forward to working with you to change your experience into a positive one. West City Honda Management team
