Snow tires taken off and all seasons put on

I had no problem with the service. It cost what I thought it would and the wait time was appropriate. Service staff were all friendly.

I felt disrepsected.

I was met by a woman who took my keys, and was told to sit and wait for Elie. I had an appointment at 9am, and had arrived about 8:50am. I was left waiting for quite a while; and in that time my chair was bumped into by people rushing back and forth behind me. When Elie arrived he had me sign the papers for the work to be done, said it would be several hours, and I could wait in the waiting room. 5 minutes later he asked if I would like to be dropped off somewhere - I was picked up by the shuttle service and taken to the Georgian Mall. The driver suggested I give her my cell number in case Elie needed to contact me; also that she would tell him she was picking me up at noon to bring me back. Just before returning to the shop, I got a call saying the car wouldn't be ready till 2 or 2:30pm. When I got back I was told the car hadn't even gone in for the work to be done. By now it was 12:30, and I had a work appointment scheduled for 1:30. I was offered a rental car since I needed to return for work (which is in Orillia) - after being told I could just go back to the mall or to go home (which clearly was not an option for me). It took time to finally get the rental car, which got me back to work. I received another call after 3:15 saying the car was not ready yet - and Elie would call once it was done. I left at the moment I was notified my car was ready, to drive back, and Elie called again to ask if I had left yet. At that moment I was still waiting for the rental people to complete their paper work. Elie said that the shop was closing in 5 minutes - but he would wait for me. I felt that I was not respected as a person with certain commitments and responsibilities - that it was okay to let me sit and wait while the work to be done on a schedule was sloughed off as of no consequence; or that my time was of no importance. The reduction I was given is appreciated, but in the overall picture, having spent over $1000 for the work done(and couldn't be finished) on Monday plus Friday I felt disrespected.

Carol, We feel badly being unable to get your car done in the promised time. I apologize. It can be difficult at times booking car repair/service. A few back to back issues in the shop that get us behind can have a ripple effect. We certainly respect your time and commitments. I believe Elie did what was in his control to get you back on the road. However that doesent take away from the fact that we delayed your vehicle and that had a direct result on you as a customer and person. Again I apologize for the delays. We will be sure to keep our promised time the next time your in for service.

Loose motor mount from previous repair. No charge. Replace broken antenna. We didn't get a piece of trim fixed because it wasn't worth the money. Excellent service and staff.

Fast, helpful

Fixed a heat shield which was warped and ripped after the exhaust got fixed. Service was great but it did seem odd that my heat shield ( after the exhaust was fixed) was first of all clanking and I brought it it to be fixed and they twisted it so it stopped but then it got worse and when I brought it in again they showed me it was damaged and they had to fix and I was billed. I wonder if they inadvertently bent and ripped it when they fixed the exhaust in the first place.

He failed me as a customer and behaved irresponsibly

I brought the car in for tire changeover on Saturday. At the end of this, Nelson told me (and wrote on my invoice) that "Left front wheel bearing has excessive play! Should be changed immediately!" When I asked him to change it immediately, he said he couldn't because there was only two hours left before the end of the work day. When I asked him to book the car for next week, he said everything was fully booked because of the tire changeover season, but that I "should use the car less" because "it's almost dangerous". I had to contact the Dealership's General Manager to have the part changed. After my conversation with the General Manager and then the Service Manager on Monday, the car was fixed the same day.

Hi Nailya, You have been servicing with Jackson's Toyota over 4 years now. You have been a loyal customer. As you know this is not generally how we schedule appointments. The spring and fall are very busy times. We were fully booked for nearly a week ahead when you had the wheel bearing problem and it was Saturday afternoon when we discovered the wheel bearing problem. Nelson gave you options other than driving away with a bad wheel bearing and I understand none of the options we gave you fit into your schedule. On Monday when we spoke, I asked you to drop off the car and I would fit it in at some point in time Monday or Tuesday and get the repair completed for you. I managed to get the wheel bearing replaced for you the same day. I hope you can see we're here to provide the best service possible for our customers and we made special arrangements to get you back on the road in minimal time.

I had an oil leak which I noticed and took my car in for service and they discovered something about a water thing, which was explained to me at the time in words I can understand and have since forgotten. Separately, I've also had my snow tires changed. I don't know much about cars and don't feel confident in my knowledge; however, I've come to Jackson's for the past 6 years and have always had great service. I feel valued and respected as a customer and every repair has been done with care and the results have been fantastic. I have every intention of continuing to come to you for repairs and any future cars purchases.
