My wife had a 8:30am appointment to have her radio/sound system checked as sometimes it works and sometimes not in her Acadia. She was very clear that she needed her vehicle back by the end of the day (5pm). She called a couple of times to check on it and they told her that they would get to it. She received a call at 3:30 and was told that it would not get done that day. It was very disappointing to here that we had a scheduled appointment at 8:30am and nobody could look at it at any point in the day. This to me is very insufficient service.

Hello Steve. We are sorry that we were unable to work on your vehicle the day you initially dropped it off. Our goal is to complete the work on each vehicle on the day it is dropped off, unless it is a very big job, or if we have to wait for parts. However, I am afraid that once in while things get backed up in the shop, and we do not get all vehicles completed. This is rare, and happens when the jobs ahead of your vehicle take longer to complete than expected. These unforeseen delays happen because it is impossible to know exactly how long any single job will take until the vehicle is in the shop and diagnosis is complete, and even then sometimes things take longer than anticipated. From our records, I see that you returned to our service department, and were recently in for an electrical concern and a water leak. Both of these types of problems can be intermittent and, therefore, difficult to diagnose. Of course, diagnosis is necessary before repairs can be made, and it looks like your vehicle may still be at that stage for at least one of the problems. Please feel free to call our service department to speak to your service advisor, or our customer service representative, if you have any additional comments or questions. We were deceived and never received the return calls we were promised by the salesman who sold us this vehicle. After having to return to the dealership multiple times for a routine recall, and eventually agreeing to have an estimate on our 3 year old Traverse we were told that we had had it repaired to the tune of $9000, which we later learned had occurred before the dealership sold us the vehicle without disclosing this to us! Ultimately no explanation and no final calls were returned regarding this issue which ultimately affects the resale value of said vehicle as well as potential functional vulnerabilities in the future. Would you consider purchasing or recommending to others a vehicle from this dealership under these circumstances?

Tyson asked the right questions in regard to my problem. He was truthful and helpful in regards to my service concern. He made my visit to SMP as painless and quick as possible. He was truthful and knowledgeable about my problem. If i need service again I will definitely be going back to Tyson.

i had asked the service advisor to have my car finished by 1230 because i work the same hours as smps hours. so it was the only time i could come and get it. it was not done. he left the tiime for 530 when i directly asked for him to have it done by 1230. ive never had this issue before with other advisors. i understand marc is new but this could really effect if people would wanna come back and see him or not. it almost makes me wanna take my car else where. it was frusturating because they called me at 130 to come and get my car so i had to miss work. other then that my car got finished and that was that. hopefully ill be back for my next oil change. thanks.
