We visited Barrhaven Mazda, and a couple other dealerships, after doing some research online. We were drawn to Mazda for their warranty but we bought our CX-5 at Barrhaven Dilawri because of the service. The staff made the whole process stress free and we’re confident in our choice. A new car is a huge investment but we’re happy to be the newest addition to the Mazda family.

I would like to let you know about an experience I had with the Mazda dealership in Barrhaven and their sales rep Reza Marandi. My family has owned Mazdas my entire life so when it was time to purchase my first car I was already very brand loyal. I set up a time to visit the dealership, but unfortunately my experience with the sales rep did not go well. Here is a list of things that made me uncomfortable: 1. Describing the quality of Mazda (which I did not ask for as I'd already told him I would be purchasing Mazda over another brand): "We make our cars in Japan so they're safe. Other companies make them in Mexico where people are paid $2 and come in drunk to work". 2. I was called "honey" and had my arm/ leg touched multiple times despite my clear discomfort. I finally had to ask him to stop touching my arm. 3. He was incredibly condescending and rude, when I asked for a lower price on the car based on comparable industry statistics I was told I was not being reasonable. He did drive me home as I didn't have a car at the time and he told me multiple times on that ride that I had no idea what I was doing and wouldn't be able to get what I was asking for anywhere (despite my research showing that it was a reasonable ask). 4. He bragged multiple times about being the top salesman in the company and how he 'didn't even care' about making my sale since his numbers were so good. Going into this experience, I had a very positive association with Mazda and had planned to buy their cars throughout my life. This was an absolutely awful experience to the point where I didn't even want to purchase anything. I was so uncomfortable to go into a car dealership or interact with a salesperson that I asked my father to purchase a new car and sell me his old one. I wanted to share what happened and I hope that someone can help rectify this situation. I have tried to contact the dealership multiple times with no response from the manager, I am hoping they will contact me through this.
