Great buying experience, good service, made me feel comfortable when I walked in, no pressuring salesman trying to push a buy on me, glad I'm apart of the Laurentian Family now.

Awful

Unless you like being deceived, betrayed, and lied to… and EVEN CALLED A LIAR, DO NOT BUY from this Dealership. Do not buy #dodge #ramtrucks #Chrysler #jeep #laurentianchrysler #charger #journey #cherokee #Durango Here is why... After purchasing a brand new custom RAM 2016, 2500 from this dealership, I have now been told that the warranty I purchased that cost upwards of $4000 won’t cover the replacement of the broken front differential. Why? “Its been underwater… or a lack of maintenance.” After providing all of the necessary maintenance documents, they reverted to, “its been underwater.” Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not exactly a bushman or a fisherman; that that RAM is one of the more powerful “grocery-getters” in the city. Given the fact that there is lots of snow in Sudbury, is the message here that RAM trucks can’t get wet? During conversation with Amy at the dealership, she almost directly called me a liar, " Well Karson, a similar situation like this has happened in the past, and eventually the guy did admit to having it underwater." Now get this—this same truck had one of Laurentian Chrysler’s “85 Point Inspections” approximately three months prior to the diagnosis of its front differential being “unsafe to drive.” One component of this 85 point inspection is to “check for differential noises”. During a past inspection of a bearing it was noted that the dealership used a stethoscope to listen to the bearing, but somehow they weren’t able to hear what they called “the worst diff they have ever seen”? Why was no stethoscope put on the front differential during the 85 point inspection? After directly contacting FCA Canada with employees Mitch and Connor (Chrysler Canada) and pleading my case, the answer I got was “this is what the dealership said, and that’s all we can go by.” After quite easily exposing the holes in the dealership’s reasoning, he simply apologized. After demanding to speak with his supervisor, I was told “no.” You read that correctly. I was told “No, you cannot speak with my supervisor.” OH! Plus upon leaving the dealership to bring my "undrivable" truck home--unfixed, I was billed for the replacement of the window clips (which I never asked for) and diagnostic of the differential. Again, unless you like being deceived, betrayed, and lied to… DO NOT BUY from this Dealership. Do not buy #dodge #ramtrucks #Chrysler #jeep ... Boycott these companies #FCAcanada #chryslercanada

Karson, we are disappointed to hear this and are very sorry you feel this way. As mentioned, the front differential in your vehicle was deemed unwarrantable by FCA. This unfortunately is not a decision that Laurentian Chrysler as a dealership can over turn as it comes directly from FCA. We are more than willing to negotiate the cost of the repair to help you out as much as we can. For any further questions or concerns, please reach out to our General Manager, Jason Carrier at your earliest convenience 705-566-8400.

Derryck Turcotte is a very experienced and honest Sales Consultant and Laurentian is lucky to have him on staff. He has been available for me for even the smallest of questions. I also worked with Brad Heinrichs (Financial Service Manager) who again was knowledgeable in his field and gave me sound advice. This is the second vehicle I have purchased through Laurentian and Derryck and have been nothing but pleased with the service I have recieved. Thank you to the staff at Laurentian for making my experience there pleasent and easy.

Warning for “buy at home” or out of town buyers. I am not one to leave a poor review but I would like to save the headache for future purchasers. We recently bought a 2017 Grand Cherokee from Laurentian Chrysler that we had found online since we live 9 hours away from the dealership. We have always owned Dodge products and were confident buying sight unseen since we were buying from a certified Chrysler dealership. The sale process was fast and simple, we had the Jeep shipped from the dealership to our local city. Upon first sight the Jeep was beautiful as seen in the pictures but once we took a closer look we were extremely disappointed to find body damage in multiple areas. Which to specify, we asked before the sale was made about any body damage or any previous accidents, and we were told there was “no known body damage and no previous accident history” we expected rock chips and scratches as we bought a used vehicle but the damage we found was a large dent in the passenger door, a dent in the body line on the drivers door from the door being over extended causing paint damage on the front fender and the door hinges to be bent. Along with the door dents there is a large area on the bumper that must have had some sort of damage and was “repaired” with a thick stroke from a paint brush of white paint. We were very disappointed in the dealership for the dishonesty of this sale and took the Jeep to a local body shop to have an estimate complete for the damage found. The estimate to repair the two doors and the bumper came back at $4500, they also told us the door is not sealing properly because of the bent hinges and the hood has been removed at some point as well. We then reached out to the dealership for an explanation, the sales representative was fast to respond that he will have his manager contact us. That was over a week ago... we have reached out multiple times and still no word from a manager. We would have really liked to give the dealership the benefit of a doubt that maybe they did not realize the damage upon inspection of the vehicle but the fact that after a week, we still haven’t heard anything back makes us concerned of their services. We are embarrassed to say that we put so much trust in Laurentian Chrysler and are now working on what our next course of action will be. We hope this is a first for the dealership and it never happens again but we just want to make others aware of the problems we are facing, if possible view the vehicle before buying.

My recent vehicle purchase was the best experience I've had at any dealership. Shawn was great to deal with. My spouse and I test drove several vehicles, and we felt like we got honest answers in a no pressure atmosphere. We're happy with our purchase and will be back in the future. Thanks again!

Very disappointed - Need to work more for the customer

February 24, 2021

We had our '15 van in to have our driver window fixed as mechanism broke. The window was indeed fixed but I realized when I picked up the car that the battery was dead. Garage did not take responsibility and offered to sell a new battery. What? If not their fault for killing the battery, how did the mechanic raise and lower the window to finally have it fixed? Had the van boosted against their recommendation and went for a long ride. Battery now fully charged and works fine. I find they were quick to try to make another sale. Staff seems not to have a sens of simple logic. This is my second bad experience with Laurentian Chrysler. Very disappointed. Don't think I will be returning.
