Thank you to the team at Bytek. Dilhan, my salesman was most helpful and represented the vehicle and the sale process in an open, honest and factual manner that made the process smooth and convenient for me. Rebecca from the business office was extremely helpful sorting out several stressful issues and provided sage and reassuring advice that allowed the flexibility to change things as my situation changed. Overall it was a wonderful experience in a stressful time that has given my wife and I the peace of mind to know we have a great car delivered by a great team.

Out of all the dealerships in Ottawa, Bytek was the only one willing to take the time and effort to help me out of the jam I was in. I highly recommend this VW dealership, not only for those looking to join the VW family, but also for those who want a car shopping experience done the way it is suppose to be done - fun and exciting

(Translated by Google) Laughable customer experience and unreliable seller! Derrick Francoeur (seller) has always been courteous, friendly and he knows VW technically like the back of his pocket. But the 2 other times that I showed up, we had expected an hour's meeting, which made me wait 10 and 5 minutes respectively. I was looking for a manual black VW GTI 2017 with the leather option. Me and Derrick had expected him to call VW 40/640 at MTL the next day when I got back to my watch around 3:00 p.m. to find out if the only GTI in my tastes was still available. We had indeed expected him to call me the next day between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to find out if he was available. At 6 p.m. I was tired of waiting for the call from Derrick who did not arrive and I decided to call the dealer myself at MTL to find out if the GTI I want is still available. I managed to speak to a seller and he told me that a customer just put a deposit on it 15 minutes ago ... Finally, Derrick leaves me a message at 8:30 p.m. (it was supposed to call me between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.) to tell me that there is no more GTI with the option and the color I want, because the only one that was at MTL has just been sold ... The next morning, I do my own research on Autotrader and on the local inventory of dealers in ON and QC to find the GTI I am looking for. Finally, I found a new one at Pfaff VW in Newmarket. I call Derrick to tell him to contact Pfaff to find out the availability of the vehicle, because there is another one he has not seen and to call me back. I ask him why he didn't call me the day before between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. as we had agreed and he told me that he was caught in traffic doing roadtests with customers and that it was was a very busy day (!?!?) ... He reminded me later saying that the car is a 2000 km demo and that if I make a deposit of $ 500, he can have it transferred to me . I deposit by phone and I tell him explicitly that I will meet him next Monday at 6:00 pm to discuss the price in person and that if we agree on the price, I will sign the contract. I arrive around 5:53 pm Monday at Bytek, me and my wife were waiting in the waiting room. He comes to meet me around 5:58 pm and gives me a piece of paper and tells me to just sign down without giving me any further explanation. I read the paper a bit and it says "final sale contract". I refuse to sign and replies to him that I am here to discuss prices and that ONLY if we agree on a price, I will sign the said contract. I also mentioned that I came with my girlfriend, because she is shopping for a VW Jetta. He makes me wait a few minutes and takes me to another office because he has clients with him in his office. I negotiate the price depending on whether the vehicle is a 2,000km demo while Bytek is offering me a new price with a MSRP reduction of $ 2,200. The negotiations are at an impasse, because I remain firm at the price I want. An English-speaking man intrudes into his office, presenting himself only by name (David). I ask him who he is. He says he's the sales manager and he's close to a deal with me, but that hooks him. I tell him that I remain firm at my price or otherwise I will wait for the new GTI 2018 and that if I do not sign today, I will sign in the fall for the new model. David makes me a final offer that doesn't meet my price. I refuse his offer. So he leaves the office abruptly telling me that I will get my deposit back within 48 hours and wishes me a good evening (without shaking my hand, without taking care of my spouse who is shopping for a Jetta and without taking care of me to talk about the GTI 2018 ...). Me and my partner were alone in the office while Derrick went back to his office with other clients. We got up and left 3 minutes later. Laughable experience and my 2018 VW GTI will be bought at MTL.
