Arrived and checked in at the scheduled time for a N/C oil change. I was prepared to wait but service advisor indicated the vehicle would be ready by noon, so I left to return home. Shortly after an hour I got a phone call saying my vehicle was ready. Appreciated the quick service and status update. Arrived at the dealership and went to the service cashier to pay for the requested service. Oil change and recall were done at no charge, the 4 wheel tire rotation cost me $40, yet the advertised price on the TV screen displays showed, "from $34.95". I questioned my service advisor and the service manager about the difference and they said that was General Motors price, and their price was $40. It's too bad that they didn't stand behind their advertising price, and if you're heading to Nichols take a look at their advertised prices for scheduled maintenance. Because the overall experience was very exceptable.

Since the advertised price states "from $34.95" your vehicle model may not have qualified for the minimum price but regardless, the advertising does sound misleading. Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about this dealership. Aside from an understandable delay in a back ordered part, dealing with their 2 Service Advisors (Lisa & Steve) was nothing but frustrating. Even their Shuttle driver is creepy to deal with. To actually get through to them was impossible. When I did leave a message (x3) about my vehicle breaking down, Steve NEVER called me back. Anytime I dealt with Lisa, she seemed annoyed or irritated, very rarely friendly. I had several issues with my SUV, each time I had to deal with it, I was left more frustrated. When I did try and express my concerns, no one seemed to care. They just blew me off. That is why that since this final issue was fixed, I have been using Mills Motors in Oshawa. Amazing service, friendly and knowledgeable staff & they never talk down to me.

I’m done coming here. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt and keep getting upsold in the service department. All I needed was a simple seasonal tire change and an oil change. Was told I would get a free check on something with the tire change…ok and then to keep everything current to have brakes checked. Fine since the one was free I said okay. Guess what with that check they then told me I need all the breaks replaced. $699 per end. I’m sitting in the waiting room frustrated and crying a bit. Would my husband get the same treatment. Am I a good mark because I’m female. Last time I brought my tire in to be fixed and lo and behold I was told I needed a whole replacement instead of a repair. Tire, rim, the whole shebang. It wasn’t too far to the edge it was on the tread. I’m not even convinced they gave me a new one that time. Looked like a repair to me. When will we be done with this type of upselling and deceit. My dad warns me every time I come here not to get sucked into everything they say I’ll need and every time I believe they are there to help….every single time I get upsold. Your service advisor, Lisa stated that she offered to take you into the shop to physically show you the brakes on your vehicle. It is our responsibility to advise our customers of potential issues and inform them of recommended service. It's unfortunate that you saw this as anything other than the professional service it was.

Walked in, met Guy, walked out with a brand new car! Thanks to Guy and the team at Roy Nichols Motors! They managed to get me an amazing trade in value for my 2022 Traverse which I greatly appreciated. All the staff were wonderful! Such a pleasure to deal with.
