Basically just like every other dealer out there I suppose. In the business to sell a car but I object to the fake friendship and trust that they work so hard to build up. We tested that friendship and trust when the used car we bought turned out to have hidden defects, hidden by the previous dealer, and the engine was shot even after bringing it in 4 times for service. That's fine not their fault but then they turned that problem into an opportunity to sell us a new car. Under the pretense of making it up to us because we were so important to them they offered to buy that car back at the full price we paid (which turns out to just be the price we paid for the car not all the addon charges that we paid like extended warranty etc.) and to sell us a new model for the same payments. Then they ignored what features we said we wanted in a car (just basic but with rear camera and heated cloth seats) and brought in a car from Dauphin loaded with everything we didn't want. It had maybe 500 km on it which seemed strange but they just said "well we had to drive it in from Dauphin specially for you." We asked several times how they could do this car at the same payments as our first more basic used car and our salesman just kept avoiding the question by saying "We have to make it up to you" or "I'm just the salesman, Jimmy's the manager and he can give you any price he wants to" etc. Then we agreed and the process took all evening so that just at the end, 10 minutes after closing time when we're signing the papers we learn that while the bi-monthly payment was the same, that was based on the term having been increased from 4 years to 7. So the car cost us $7000 more than we wanted for features we didn't want and we had to sign or just be stuck with the car with the shot engine. The salesman said he thought we had understood that the term was longer and showed us a slip where right at the beginning he had written the payment amount that he was going to get us on a new car. That number was heavily circled and down well below that was the number 84 smaller and not circled and we had missed it, All the times we asked how was he going to sell us a car at the same payment he could have said 'well increasing the term from 4 years to 7 really helps" but instead he acted just as amazed as we were at our unbelievable deal which was 'anything for our friends'. But all they had seen was an opportunity to upsell us to more car than we wanted and to stage a situation where we would have to go for it. After leaving we learned from MPI that the car had been registered once before but had been returned to the dealer. So that explained why they had to get a car from Dauphin for us. They had managed to find another return which had also reduced the sales price but they never mentioned that to us. When we activated the trial Sirius satellite service for the car they told us as well that the Sirius for that car had been activated by a previous owner. We could have gone back and complained but instead we just swore we would never all ow them the opportunity to 'make things right' by just upselling us again. Their motto "Does it sell a car?" which the salesman had on his bulletin board, sums up all their friendliness and assurances of trust. It's not for your benefit. It's for theirs.

I have always had my work completed at the dealership. My second last trip there, the mechanic damaged my front hub while doing some other maintenance procedure and the dealership had to pay for the part. My last trip included an explanation of my wheel nuts coming loose and causing damage whereby I had to replace the rim, studs and nuts. This call was made by the service manager on speaker phone with my service advisor in the background. His conversation included things like: 1) Someone must have tried to steal your wheel because the last time your truck was here, we didn't remove the to back tires. And/or 2) Whomever installed your tires mustn't have tightened the nuts properly. As I stated earlier, I have always had these types of things completed at the dealership. I would also question how detailed the inspection of my truck was during my second last visit as I am sure that if the mechanic was completing an inspection, especially including the brakes, they surely would have to remove all of the wheels? Also, if someone were trying to steal my wheel, I am quite positive they would not have placed the nuts back on loosely and replied the cover on the rim? Respectfully, I feel that the service individuals were trying their very best to cover-up the ineptness of the shop mechanics. In doing so, they actually forgot about the processes that should usually take place during a vehicle inspection. I paid my bill and decided not to pursue the issue any further consolidating my opinion to never to return to this dealership for service or the purchase of my new vehicle.
