I was happy that I received an appointment on Saturday morning. Unfortunately that was the only good about the appointment. The advisor was friendly, but all the other down falls tarnished my views of the dealership. I have one word “GREEDY”. My appointment for my Santa Fe was for rear seat covers, paint pen and an oil change. A service that should have taken less than an hour, ended up taking 3 hours. I was already not impressed, then I received the invoice. I had to go through the bill myself because it was not explained at all. I find that there is an 8.5% shop supplies charged to me on the entire bill. WOW. I was prepared to pay shop supplies, but I wasn’t ready to see that I was charged an extra 8.5% on top of the work. To top it off…I also got charged 13% tax charged on top of the 8.5% shop supply. Now this doesn’t make sense, I’m thinking if I went in to buy a part from the parts department, would I get charged 21.5% tax on the part too. Then I went out to drive my vehicle away and find that the “shop supply” charge for the soap, water, etc was not worth the money spent, as the wash was absolutely pathetic. Because the advisor or the receptionist was not willing to do anything about it other than talk to their manager on Monday and solve the issue at hand, I will never return to the Murray Group for service or for a new car. I was blatantly taken advantage of and I’m sure I’m not the only one, as the receptionist told me she had many complaints over the last several weeks about the same thing. Congratulations for losing many customers for a lifetime.

Love our Santa Fe XL. Purchased our used Santa Fe XL from Mike VdM, who was a fantastic, friendly salesman. In the follow up months, when we had a few concerns, both Mike and Allan (used manager) did a great job taking care of us and our vehicle. It has been very apparent that our complete satisfaction has been a priority, as they went beyond my expectations.

i took my 2004 Sante Fe to some work. I asked for and was quoted 199.oo dollars, plus tax to change the transmission oil and filter. It has a 2.7L V6. This seemed ridiculous to me especially since the Great Canadian Oil Change advertises tranny flush for 69 -79 dollars. Yes it is the same thing. I questioned the quote, which i still have, and it states oil and filter. I knew that was impossible to do at the dealership in 60 mins (thats how long it would take they told me. I knew the tranny oil filter is in the sealed tranny unit and does not get changed unless they take the tranny apart and that wouldn't happen would it? So I would be charged and led to believe a filter was changed? so beware and question your quote fellow consumers. I decided to do it myself and went back the next day and bought oil and was told by the parts dept. that my vehicle did not have a drain bolt and needed to take the skid plate off and pry off the front of the tranny and let the oil run out thru that, apply paste gasket sealant before adding new oil. Huh? No, im not making this up. So I looked this up and the skid plate has maybe 8 bolts and the drain bolt is on the right hand side near the front. Undo it, let it drain, close it and put in the same amount of fresh. And apparently to do a reverse high pressure flush weakens and stretches the filter and is unnecessary. Anybody can do it. Oh originally I was there for a timing belt change. It was done and on time as promised but when I asked for the old one they looked at me like no one has ever asked for their old parts before. Don.t people do tht anymore?

Tony was really patient and knowledgeable, we felt no pressure, and was so helpful in showing us a variety of different models. Thank-you!! We love our new vehicle!!
