Wonderful experience at SMP. Came in to look at a used truck with salesman, Phillip Li. Phillip actually listened to what I was looking for, took the time to explain my options and guess what?? I ended up buying a brand new unit!! Dannah Shukin was great in setting up and finalizing financing. If you are looking for new or used, you need to check out SMP and talk to Phillip and Dannah.

Bought a new truck from SMP and the sales team was great, financing was great, management was very good to deal with. All in all a very good experience. One thing keeping this from being a 5 star is final detailing(I’m very picky) and the product they used on the chrome left a bit of a haze and windows had streaks(not horrible) but could have been better. I delt with Dan Barrett and his associate Autumn on the sales side and even though they were crazy busy it was still a good experience.

Horrible Customer service - We booked an oil change here last Monday at 8:30am assuming it would only take an hour-hour and a half tops as thats what it has been in the past. So my husband came in with our one-year old son. The whole experience right from the start was awful. After dropping off the vehicle, no one would help him because he was booked with a certain employee - so that wait took 15-30 minutes then he was told the vehicle would not be done until at least 430pm. My husband was frustrated because there would be no way our son would tolerate sitting in a car dealership for 8 hours, and they refused to shuttle them home because we live out of town and the car seat was in the vehicle. So he asked if he could just take the vehicle back and go somewhere else that wasn't going to take a whole day for a basic OIL CHANGE. The coworker proceeded to look on his computer and said oh no, it looks like the vehicle is up there already so it shouldn't take more than an hour- hour and a half. Still frustrated but my husband assumed there wasn't much more that could be done at this point since the car was already up and being worked on. So he waited. Two hours passed. No call, so he went and asked the customer service approx. how much longer. The response from this employee was we don't work in times so you can't ask us that. Another employee was walking by and overheard and said they would go check. Comes back out and says they are just working on it now. He finally got the call approx. 2.5 hours later saying our vehicle was done. Totalling to almost 5 hours. This is unacceptable considering he was told it would not take more than an hour and a half. To top it all off. He went to go pay for it, and of course our one year old is getting fussy at this point because he's had to sit in a dealership for 5 hours. The cashier says to my husband to can you please get that kid to be quiet. I am disgusted with this whole experience. We will not be returning here again.

Hi Ashley. I have reviewed the work completed on your last visit. I see that it was a non-GM vehicle and that it was in for an oil change plus vehicle multi-point inspection. We also carried out a wheel alignment check as a no-charge courtesy. (The alignment was determined to be good!) A stand-alone oil change typically takes 20 mins to half hour, and a multi-point inspection takes 1 - 2 hours. For non-GM vehicles sometimes there is some additional wait time if parts need to be brought over. Vehicle multi-point inspections are not completed in the lube bay by installers or lube technicians, but are completed by experienced mechanics, and full Journeymen in most cases. Nonetheless, our goal is same day service for any repairs or maintenance that can be completed in a single day. For this reason, we arrange scheduled drop off times in the morning to ensure Service Advisors have an adequate amount of time to discuss concerns and maintenance with the guest, and to ensure the work is completed that day, where possible. Due to the nature of vehicle repairs, where it is not possible to know with certainty the time it will take to complete repairs on preceding vehicles, subsequent vehicles do not always go into the shop immediately after drop off. With this in mind, we do offer shuttle rides to and from anywhere in the city at no charge. Please feel free to take advantage of this no-charge service when you are in next. Same day service is the top industry standard, and is a regularly achieved goal for us. With respect to stand-alone oil changes, the expectation is more stringent, and we do expect that this can be accomplished while you wait. From your comments, and my review of your service history, it seems that has not been a problem. It seems to me the problems with your last visit stem from a lack of good communication. For this I sincerely apologize. I am sure if the above was made clear to you, we could have made arrangements for scheduling or transportation in such a way that your visit would have been much less disruptive to your day.
