On various occasions I have come to calling on SMP for advice and service. Price, service, advice has always been very helpful and the repairs where always done quickly and within their quotes. I have personally dealt with Devon Regier, Service Advisor at SMP on several occasions and his attention to detail it's very assuring in getting the right repairs completed in a timely manner even if its another Dealerships issues. I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle with the assistance of Brendan Agarand, and I must say, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment I stepped into the dealership, Brendan greeted me with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm for helping me find the right car. His extensive knowledge about various makes and models was impressive, and he took the time to understand my needs and preferences. This was my second purchase from SMP. Not as happy this time. #1. They use a bit of smoke and mirrors. I asked them for the identical model, with the same options. They provided me with a handwritten quote, (Witten with a sharpie). But when it cam e down to final write up, the options hadn't been included, or the PDI, and delivery Etc, Etc. Even though I had specified the identical options. They also used a tactic of included the value of the GST on the trade in, which confused the numbers. I was really wanting to purchase a Toyota. They had issues, as well, but the quote was printed and clearly totaled, no games. The number was the number. In any case, I still traded. #2. The part that upset me the most was discovering that a month after, the hands free functions that were part standard on my 2020 vehicle, now requires a $25.00/ month, data plan. Android auto works, sort of, but voice controls are overridden by the vehicle's system, which you have to subscribe to. I currently pay for data on my phone and now I have to subscribe to another plan for all of the components to sync together. Why, why, why? This has left a bitter taste on my purchase. So to the new buyer: Demand a computer print out with the final numbers, and have them include the maintenance and insurance plans. (quite expensive / month). Secondly, be sure you can manage the complexities of your phone not syncing properly. If I didn't have to wait so long for a Toyota, the deals were very similar in the end.
