I recently visited Bank Street Mitsubishi after finding a vehicle on AutoTrader listed for $20,995. I sent an inquiry through the AutoTrader website and was quickly contacted by a sales agent to arrange a test drive. After the drive, I discussed the price with the agent, only to find that the price on his computer was $1,000 higher than what was advertised online. After pointing out the discrepancy, the agent confirmed the listed price on AutoTrader. However, after he left to consult with the sales manager, I was presented with an updated price of $22,995—$2,000 more than the original listing. The manager then offered to "discount" the car back to the original AutoTrader price, but it felt more like a tactic than a genuine offer. Unfortunately, due to the pricing inconsistencies and lack of transparency, I decided not to move forward with the purchase. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning for future business.
