Car: 2018 Type R This dealership keeps hiring incompetent warrenty advisors. Last year we had issues with getting the rims refinished even with having the rim and tire warrenty. It took months fighting with the dealership to sort out how they were going to get it done. Now this year, we took it in on 27 June to get the paint and A/C looked at. The service department called us back in when the A/C parts came in and had the car serviced on 23 July. We never heard back about the paint. We are having an odd issue with the paint as it has started flaking off (not stone chips) on the mirrors and door handles. It has also started to fade really bad but only on parts of the car. (Car has clean car fax). I went into the dealership today to request an update on the paint issue (6 August). The warrenty advisor this time came out and told me that they are still waiting to hear from Honda. They wanted to go outside to see the car again, but its my wife's and she had it at work and asked me to follow up since I had time. The warrenty advisor told me she needed to see the car again, even though she showed me the pictures she had taken from the 27 June appointment. They said that they seen the car while in the shop and that there is different light outside and wanted to take more pictures. I laughed, as they had the car in their possession for 2 days where they could have looked at it. Then they proceeded to tell me that I was to get a quote for the repair myself from a body shop and then provide it to the dealership. None of that was communicated to us. Essentially the warrenty advisor was making up stuff as I kept asking questions. They failed to do their job again correctly. I requested our service records and will never be dealing with this dealership for anything ever again. I will drive well out of my way to not be treated like crap, from a Honda employee. More happened and was said but does not need to be posted here along with who they are. I do not recommend this place for service or warrenty work. I can not speak on behalf of the rest of the dealership as we did not buy the car from them.

Hello Frank, Thank you for your feedback as we always welcome constructive criticism so that we may improve the services we deliver. We would however like to address some of your concerns as you presented them. With respect to the delay and your frustration with having all 4 rims refinished on your 2018 Honda (which you had recently purchased from another dealer back in 2023) we would like to clarify. By your own admission to us at the time, you had recently bought this vehicle used from a dealer and all 4 rims were scored at the time of purchase. You purchased a tire and rim warranty, waited a month or more then brought the vehicle to us to have work done. As you can appreciate, we then had to wait for Honda to approve the wheel refinishing due to the reasons stated above. We also had to coordinate a time with the refinisher so that they were able to immediately get to them as not to cause further delay. Not an ideal situation for sure but we did our best to complete this for you. We could not control how long it took for the refinisher to complete and ship back to us but as soon as they were returned we had them remounted, balanced and installed. Not sure why your retailer didn’t take care for this for you before you took delivery as that would have been the correct approach, instead your frustration in the delay was directed to us for this process. With respect to the AC issue on your Civic we are glad we were able to confirm the issue and resolve it. In reviewing your concern regarding surface paint issues with your 2018 Honda, the warranty period for this expired 3 years ago. At this point any consideration for assistance would come from West City Honda’s Goodwill budget which Honda Canada would have to review, approve and authorize. There is a process for that and we apologize if it was not clearly outlined when you brought the vehicle to us in July to have the AC repaired. We have a Warranty Advisor who’s role it is to assist with this process and she did not have the opportunity to speak with you directly at the time you were here but she was able to take some photos later on July 23rd. When you showed up unexpectedly this past Tuesday Aug 6th inquiring about the status of your paint concern this was the first time our Warranty Advisor had the opportunity to speak with you directly. However, your tone was dismissive and aggressive towards her which was witnessed by several staff as she was reviewing next steps. At no time did we not offer to assist you with this process but rather inform you as the steps required to move forward with this goodwill gesture. We apologize if that did not meet your expectations but that did not justify your disparaging comments. Service Team West City Honda

My HRV's CVT transmission broke down on the 401 (don't buy a car with a CVT!) 4 hours from home on a Sunday. After spending the night in my car and limping the car to West City Honda at 8am to get help, it proved to be a waste of time. All I wanted was for them to scan the car computer for error codes so I could determine how to go about my ordeal. They said they were too busy and couldn't scan it until 2 days later. In disbelief, I walked next door to the Jeep dealership. Not only did they walk their scanner over to the Honda parking lot and scan it for me, they offered me coffee and WIFI, and to hang out in their massage chair while I figure out what to do. Took them all of 2 minutes to show some compassion and give me a little bit of information on the status of my car, refusing to take payment or even some cash for that days lunch. I'm in disbelief, as is anyone else I tell this story to.

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Honda Civic with the help from sales consultant Jessica Mumby! Overall a very pleasant experience. Jessica is very professional, friendly, patient, accommodating, and she is always there to help. As a recent graduate, I know nothing about cars but I have learned tremendously by chatting with Jessica. I live in another city and was not able to visit the dealership in person but Jessica is always there to answer my questions and concerns. We did a virtual test drive where Jessica gave me a comprehnsive introduction about the car's features (e.g., she even pointed out an unnoticeable tiny paint defects). And the car turns out to be just perfect. Even after the sale, Jessica constantly checks in to make sure that I'm happy with the car and committed to help. Throughout the process I truly felt valued and respected as a customer. There is no hidden costs nor games and everything is very straight forward. Stephanie took care of the financing part and it went through super quick without any challege. Thank you again, Jessica, for helping me find the right car. Spencer to the rescue! I began the summer having my car written off after an accident. I loved by CRV (bought from West City Honda) and was not happy to have to replace it. My first call was to insurance and my second call to Spencer. He was amazing! I needed a car but at no time did I feel pressure to hurry up and buy. Spencer took his time making sure he got me into the right vehicle. He is a good mix of professionalism and friendliness.
