My purchase of a vehicle was made so easy with the help of the staff at North Toronto Auctions, from the clerk at the front desk who phoned my bank for me, enabling me to immediately access funds from my debit card, to the people upstairs who provided me with a temporary trip permit at a minimal $25, saving me the hassle of going to the MOT to obtain one in order to drive my newly purchased vehicle home. I then got the car certified for $80, E-tested for $30, and plates were $100. I was then on the road and have driven the car extensively, problem free for the past 16 months. I have sang the praises for NTA to many people and I know that when I need another vehicle, North Toronto Auction will be my first stop. Thanks again! Gerald H

After buying the car, \I found out street price was only about 500 and we got stuck at 2000. Car had also been involved in to accidents, both front and rear bumper damaged, was not noted on carfax, and broken winshield. Had to spend 2300 in repairs. Last time buying from this scrapyard.

Thank-you for the review Daniel. I'm not sure about the purchase price you decided on bidding or the value of the car. I can guarantee there are no plants on the floor, our customer base is to sophisticated to let that happen! We do a history search on every car, but maybe there was something missed that we could have looked in to for you. Broken windshields are part of safety, and yes we do sell all of our vehicles "as is" and therefore that should have been factored in to the price you decided to bid. Remember you decide when to start bidding and stop bidding, I cant control that. Auctions aren't for everyone, and I'm sorry you wont be back. I think we have a lot of supporters that would disagree about the scrapyard comment as I look through other reviews. I have been to the auction a couple of times. I have purchased 2 vehicles with them and they were very professional with dealing with me. Their owner is a very good man and the management are helpful. I will definitely look there first whenever I am looking to by a car.

Great experience, good prices if you do your homework. The only issue I have is the 48 hour registration for internet bidding. I missed a few auction because of that. Sometimes a vehicle come up last minute and I can't register on time.

Francois, thanks so much for thee review and feedback. We implemented the 48 hour rule in order to process the deposits for on-line bidding. We recently switched to PayPal and I'm going to see if we can get the processing time down. Leave it with me and maybe i will be able to use your feedback to make the change. No promises, but I will look in to it.
