Let’s talk about my 2021 Jeep Wrangler and Pothier Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat here in Windsor Nova Scotia. I bought my Jeep in April of 2022, it had 1k km on it when I drove it off the lot. Fast forward to my first oil change at 15k and my reporting paint issues I noticed on the vehicle that could not possibly be from wear and tear. At 15k km the vehicle was covered in surface scratches and the paint was wearing off the hatch door, despite never seeing anything but touchless wash. I consistenyl brought these issues up at every oil change and service call on the vehicle and was assured by staff before the warranty was up, they would address them, I noted what I reported on my service records. This went on for two years and when it was time to address these issues as the warranty was almost up; more issues were noted at this time by the sevice department, including bubbling around the hood of the jeep. Then I was told the issues were not all covered and there are many. At this time I was not aware that there were several class action lawsuits in the US due to paint erosion, bubbling and premature rusting on Jeep Wranglers for the model years 2018-2021. Which I sorted because I went looking, thinking I can’t be alone. And I was not alone. There have been warranty extensions, continuous issues with paint corrosion on the model years listed as well as various other legal challenges regarding the paint on these vehicles and a refusal by Chrysler to do a recall. I tried to work with Pothier and Chrysler for several months and they did agree to warranty part of the issue. I requested in writing what was covered and what wasn’t as in order to join a class action lawsuit to have the rest of the issues repaired, I had to show the dealership / Chrysler had declined parts of the repairs. I was then ghosted. Today I went for an oil change and asked to talk about the paint issues that are now getting worse. The service manager Pino was there when I checked my vehicle in and I said to him I’m still waiting for something in writing as to what’s covered. To which he responded quite condescendingly I told you you mentioned a lawyer so you’re not getting anything from us. He never told me this and went on to state that the dealership Manager, Chad, made that call, I could deal with my lawyer. To be clear I don’t have a lawyer, I was trying to join a class action lawsuit to get all of the needed repairs done. I spoke with the manager Chad today, my hands shaking as I was so upset at how I was spoken to, who informed me that I declined the repairs due to outside influence and they would not be able to help me. This is simply not true, I did say the repairs covered were not adequate given this is a well known issue. There was no apology for how I was spoken to, there was no acknowledgement of a long term paint failure, he in fact stated he was not aware of any class action lawsuits involving the paint on these vehicles. Apparently the moment I brought up lawyers, that gave them the ground to brush me off, oh an I was rude after their staff misrepresented the issue for two years. And brush me off they did, today I was told they will not paint the vehicle, they will not honor the repairs they already approved and I was told take my jeep to another dealership that may be able to help. I took my vehicle and left without an oil change as I will not put one more cent into Pothier. This dealership mislead me for two years, my advice to you is to shop elsewhere.

Hi Tanya, The details you have written here are a complete misrepresentation of your interactions with us. We on 2 separate occasions went to Jeep and obtained approval to fix all of the warrantable items that were manufacturer defects in your paint. You declined to have the repairs completed unless the whole Jeep was painted and scratches were fixed. The scratches were clearly from branches or some other outside influence and are not a warrantable concern. When we informed you we could not warranty this damage you threatened lawyers and were extremely rude to both myself and my staff. We will fight non-stop for our customers and pride ourself in our customer service. We however cannot help someone who is threatening us with legal action over non-warrantable concerns and is mistreating our staff. -Chad Pothier

Absolutely disgusted with my 2022 2500 Dodge ram that I bought from Potchiers in Falmouth nothing but trouble since I bought this truck I’ve tried to rectify this issue with the dealership. The truck decides it will not start something to do with the starter, however, the dealership refuses to do anything unless it performs the issue at the dealership, but of course won’t. I’ve been stuck at multiple locations and job sites unable to get work done and lose X amount of dollars because of this. Constantly dealing with this issue with the new truck is more than frustrating if you’re looking to buy new without any problems, I would not recommend to go there

Hi Isaac. I pulled your account history up and viewed your history. You purchased the vehicle a little over 3 years ago. The only documented history we have of a starting complaint in the time since is from January 6th of 2025. At that time our technician investigated the issue extensively but could not replicate the problem. An issue such as this is very hard to diagnose unless we can find a fault. We would have been happy to have another look at it had you reached out and let us know it was still causing you an issue. Unfortunately all vehicles will occasionally experience mechanical issues, and some are harder to diagnose than others. I can not say enough when it comes to my experience with pothier motors! From the very beginning Lucas was professional, personable, efficient, always updating me. He truly went above & beyond, even updating me after hours. Lucas & Jamie worked as an incredible team to get me in the vehicle I wanted, as quickly as possible. The customer service is unmatched - such a welcoming environment, from the front staff right to the back. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, I can not recommend Lucas McPhee and his team enough!!

Nikki in sales and the team never failed in making my purchase / repair of a 2016 JK Wrangler a pleasure. No worries here. It gave me faith in a dealership after a few REALLY poor experiences elsewhere. I would definitely consider buying a vehicle here again. Maybe even a newer one someday. Cheers!

I'm taking this opportunity to say a few words regarding our recent purchase at Pothier Motors, a family owned business in Falmouth Nikki was our product advisor. She was quality from the start to finish. John, who was working late weekly to 8 PM. He came down to see us and made sure we were happy with the purchase. He had approved all the work that was done. We purchased an undercoating and a warranty and Jamie was great and Got us a great deal. Nikki stayed with us till finish and she took the time to answer a few more questions and to show some of the features in the vehicle In closing, I would say thank you to Jamie, Sheryl Julie and it was very nice to meet you.
