I brought my 2013 Pilot in a couple of times to have a VCM vibration issue looked at. I had taken it to two local dealers near my home and i wasn't pleased with their customer service and troubleshooting. I decided to bring my Pilot to Brantford Honda as i had purchased a couple of Honda's from there before and was pleased with the whole process and subsequent customer service. Once at Brantford Honda, Ben and service tech Aaron were fantastic to deal with. Aaron spent many hours over the course of two visits addressing and reviewing the issue. This is a known issue to Honda but Aaron and Ben both recognized my vibration issue was extreme.. During the first visit, Aaron addressed a torque converter issue, did a transmission software update and it seemed to alleviate the vibration issue. Unfortunately, the vibration returned so i brought the vehicle in a second time. Aaron spent the better part of his work day reviewing and working on the issue and again the vibration seemed to improve. During the second visit, Aaron noticed a small leak coming from the one engine mount so one was ordered and i was told to return the vehicle once the part arrived. Unfortunately again, the vibration issue returned and seemed to be more prevalent than ever. Coincidentally, Honda came out with a TSB to address this issue which involved replacing the propeller shaft and doing a subsequent software update. Ben gave me a call to make me aware of the TSB and i brought the vehicle in to have the shaft and engine mount replaced. Aaron spent the better part of his work day on this again and i was out the door by mid day. The vibration issue is all but gone with the exception of what Honda says is minimal vibration and is inherent to the operation of the VCM system. I also realize that any VCM vibration issue is amplified due to the cold weather. So far so good and i'm pleased with the results. From my perspective of customer service and satisfaction, i couldn't be happier and my sincere compliments go out to Ben and Aaron for the exemplary customer service. They both always kept me apprised of what needed to be done and offered me a loaner vehicle to allow me to run some errands during the one visit. I sincerely appreciate Ben and Aaron's efforts and will always return to Brantford Honda for my service needs. Although, my car is no longer under warranty, I continue to take it to Brantford Honda for service. Ben, Adam and Trevor are all welcoming and they take the time to listen to my needs and concerns. I recently came in for an oil change. It is so nice to see familiar faces when I pull into the service bay. Ben greeted me and listened to my request. I declined some of the services indicated by the service code and he did not push me to have the extras done. I appreciate this because often I cannot afford the "extras" and I don't want to feel pressured. I know I can get an oil change done somewhere else for less, but at Brantford Honda I know it will be done right and I appreciate having a clean and comfortable facility to wait in. I have in the past been to other shops, but I prefer Brantford Honda because of the professionalism of the staff and the friendly atmosphere.
