My wife and I have been a Winnipeg Honda service customer since 2002. Because of it, we did not bother to shop around when we decided to buy a 2016 Honda Pilot EX-L, trusting we would get a special sales service from them for being a loyal customer. On December 31, 2015, we went there and met with Steve Samonte, a sales representative. He told us that there’s no 2016 Pilot in stock, so it had to be factory ordered and 2-3 months expected delivery. In our negotiation, he offered me an option called Autoplus for $798.00, but I declined. We finally agreed on the selling price of the EX-L model at $45, 693.00 + tax, as shown at back of Worksheet Offer. Options included were block heater, floor mats, mudguard, complimentary 6 year Honda Plus extended warranty and .99% loan interest for 24 months. I then met with Wade Wasmuth, financial manager, regarding the financial matter. I asked and got a copy of the transaction. After 2 months, I started calling Steve on the delivery status. His typical response was, he didn’t know when it’s coming. It took 7 ½ months when it finally came on August 15, 2016. It ruined our family vacation plan of driving it to Vancouver in June to attend the wedding of my niece and then drive to San Diego to visit my son. We ended up traveling by plane at a much higher cost. On August 16, 2016, I went to pick up the vehicle. I met with Chantelle Fedorkiw, financial rep, to finish the transaction. I forgot to bring my copy of the Sales Worksheet and couldn’t remember the agreed price, so I told her that it should be as agreed when I placed the order. I trusted her, but when I got home, I reviewed and found out that she made an error on the selling price. The $46,491.00 that she wrote is $798.00 (as if I got the Autoplus option) over the $45,693.00 agreed price when I placed the order. I notified her immediately and requested for a refund of the overpayment + tax. Two days later, she responded saying she would discuss it with the sales manager. Later, Jimmi Guman left me a phone message basically saying that nothing could be done to change it. I was shocked and can’t believe I am to bear the consequence of their mistake. I tried to call him and left a message to call me back, but he didn’t. I then tried to call the general manager (Brent Sayles?) and left him a message to call me back, but he didn’t. Feeling ignored by Winnipeg Honda, I called Honda Canada on September 22, 2016 for help. The next day, I got a call from Wade Wasmuth to confirm if I wanted to cancel Honda Plus extended warranty for a refund, I said no. I guess there’s a misunderstanding because what I requested Honda Canada was a refund of overpayment, equal to the amount of the Autoplus option, which I declined and didn’t finally get. I further explained to Wade about the issue. He said he would review the documentation and then call me back. I am a retired senior citizen with physical disability and rely on basic monthly government OA & CPP pension income, so to me the money involved here is a big amount. This whole experience to me is so stressful. I hope Winnipeg Honda will do the right thing to correct their mistake by giving me a refund of $798.00 + tax.

I was extremely dis-satisfied with the fees charged for reading the code on my maintenance minder. $130. That is completely ridiculous - the tool to read that code costs less to buy after-market online than the fee charged by this service provider for using the tool once. The time spent to read the code must be less than 10 minutes - I have observed it being done in the past at another service provider and the process is as simple as plugging in to the vehicle and reading the prompts off a screen. No physical service to the vehicle was included - only a brief two line message that if the code displayed recurs, it should be monitored. This is price gouging and I feel unfairly treated. I am seeking an alternate service provider.

I came for a recall and I asked for a full check up and the Ac is not working after long waiting and paying 400 something not all the pieces for recall were available and they were still some lights on the dash board that r not suppose to b on ! And the Ac still didn't work on the way back home! I called and they booked me for the next week appointment! My husbend took the car for them and they said that can't b done now, you should book another appointment ! He also asked them about the lights that were on the dashboard and they said that should b checked on another appointment !

I was treated very well as my CRV was being serviced for air conditioner repair ,as well as other work .The service manager WENT Out His Way To explain all the details of the repair and of the Honda recall.I will purchase my next Honda there.
