Edited review: This is the first negative review that I have ever made in my life. I have given SMP almost 5 months to rectify this situation, and I feel that I have been treated very poorly and have not been given any answers. I am sharing my experience with hopes that it will help someone else. I purchased a brand new 2025 Chev Trailblazer from SMP on July 4, 2024. It is Nitro Yellow and beautiful - it has all of the extra options that I wanted in a vehicle, so I spent more to get what I wanted. I did my research on the vehicle, but there wasn't much to find out because it was a 2025 and so new. On November 28, 2024, it needed to get towed into SMP because of a transmission problem. It has been sitting at SMP, waiting for parts, since that time. I have contacted numerous people at SMP (sales, finance, service) as well as Chev Canada, and no one will give me an ETA on the parts, and no one will take responsibility. The vehicle has less than 8,000 kms on it. It is now April 8, and I have not driven my brand new vehicle yet this year. The customer service from SMP and Chev Canada has been lacking. At one point, I was told to 'be thankful' that I was provided with a rental vehicle (it is included with my warranty). No one will talk to me about compensation until 'after my vehicle has been fixed' - whenever that will be. I have asked to get a replacement vehicle and was told a hard no. The money that is being put into this rental vehicle (for the over 4 months that I have had it), could have been put towards getting me into a drivable vehicle. I understand how depreciation works, but SMP nor Chev Canada wants to foot the bill to get me into a vehicle that I can drive, instead they waste money on this rental. I realize that this likely won't happen to a lot of people, and it is just the 'hand that I was dealt', but maybe it will happen to you? Maybe you won't purchase the extra warranty and if it does happen, you will just not have a vehicle until it is fixed. Could be a week, could be 6 months. That's time timeframe I was given. If I went to any store and purchased an (expensive) product or service and it did not work, I would be able to return it, or have it replaced. Not in this case, SMP won't even entertain that idea which I can't and don't understand. They just tell me 'that's now how it works'. So, it is 2025, I bought my car in 2024, haven't driven it yet in 2025, still making my payments, driving a vehicle that is not mine, does not have the options that my vehicle has, and basically told that there is 'nothing that we can do'. Do better SMP.

However, GM has provided a rental vehicle to ensure that you have transportation while we work on repairing your vehicle. Once the repair is complete, we can explore the possibility of compensation from the manufacturer for the delays. It's important to note that similar challenges are being faced across the industry, with other Manufactures experiencing delays on parts for off-make pre-owned vehicles as well, not just GM. Terrible to deal with, my sales guy said that the truck I was buying was in good condition and didn't need anywork done to it. 2 months later the engine light comes on with multiple issues. Called and tried to chat with him and multiple managers but never got a reply. I swear these guys will tell you anything to buy a vehicle off of them but will not, even call a guy back. This will be the last time I get a vehicle from SMP Saskatoon.

Decided to sell my vehicle so went to SMP to see what they would offer me. I met with Brenden A, he gave me a fair offer and was absolutely great to work with. Very polite and professional. Ask for him when you stop in!

The service here was incredible. and the people of SMP , From the moment I made the call to need a vehicle and signing of the buyers agreement. Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous. we got useful information about vehicles. The salesman Zinkal was very knowledgeable and gave me a detailed explanation of my choice . He took me on my test drive and explained everything during the drive. The finance manager, Brandon, was also very knowledgeable, and after double checking my information, he gave me all information abut term and condition. He given me several bank and option to choose a bank get me the best APR on the market. This was an amazing experience. great place

We just bought a used EV here and were very happy with our whole experience at SMP. Everyone we dealt with (Rick Correia, Riun Bolld, and especially our salesperson, Tyler Muench) was very pleasant, efficient, and helpful without being pushy. Ty did his homework on EVs to help us make a good choice and was very responsive and attentive.
