I will no longer be doing business with Jackson Toyota. Took my RAV4 in for service on a few minor items and was told by service department (Derrick) that my brakes were no good and needed replaced as soon as possible, he said the pads were down to 20% and the car would barely stop for the mechanics. I had the brakes done less than a year prior to this appointment so I was ambit shocked. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went and bought the parts to do it at home. I typically do my own service or have my brother (a licensed mechanic) do it. When I removed the brakes to do them myself they were still about 80-90%. My brother and I were a little disappointed they would try to swindle me like that. It is common for places like this to try up-sell products and service but, this is just out right taking advantage of people. Had I got them to do the service it was going to be over $1100 (still have the quote) and I would have been none the wiser. I have zero respect for that type of business ethic and will not be returning for service. Another incident that I had happen was a rude salesman in the used lot. Took my mother to purchase a rav4 used and as soon as we walked in the salesman ignored my mother and tried dealing with me. I was merely there to check out the car and drive her. Then he immediately told me I was a big guy and asked me how much I weighed before we even sat down... Not the best sales tactics! We went and got a used Toyota from the Lexus dealership down the road the same day. This was just my experience and I hope others have better luck with them as most of the staff I've dealt with were very friendly.
