X1 on FIRE after battery replacement at DEALRSHIP On December 15, 2020 I have battery replaced on my 2015 X1 at BMW London Dealership. After the batter was replaced the shuttle picked me up around noon to drive me back to dealership to pick up the car. I started the car and ABS light went off and the car had difficult time turning on. I shut it down and restart the car and it was ok. I thought I will stop at the store to buy something and see if it is going to repeat. After I was done in the store I started the car and it had difficult time turning the engine again so I decided to go back to the dealership. I drove back and as I was pulling in the bay at the dealership, I noticed a heavy smoke in the trunk. I opened the trunk and the battery, battery’s cover and plastic on the top were on FIRE. I run into dealership and told them the car is on the fire. It took them a minute to get the fire distinguisher and put out the fire. They loaned me new X3 and kept the car to fix it. After nobody called me from dealership for three days I called them on December 18 and talked to Sean Finn – The service manager. Apparently they suspended mechanic who connected the wires wrong and he did apologize. However, he said that car will be fixed and I can pick up the car at the end of the month. I told him, the car was on fire and as such, the resale value of the car now is zero. Nobody would buy BMW 2015 with 72K on it that was on fire. On the top of it, I cannot drive that car anymore. I have nightmares since that happened. They don’t understand, if I did not returned to the dealership, the battery explosion would more likely kill me and more likely somebody else. Also the battery is next to the tank, which was full. The insurance would go after them, police and firefighters with the bill for their services. Not to mention how many lawsuits they would go through. I tried to negotiate a trade in for the car but they are not willing to work with me. The bottom line is: I gave them the car to replace batter and I would like to have my car back - minus fire. In my opinion the car is worthless - nobody would buy the car with electrical fire. I will escalate the issue with BMW North America, report to BBB, meeting with lawyer on December 29 and see what my next steps are. Will post updates as they come here so everybody can see. If you can buy car somewhere else, do it. This dealership is not worth your time and effort. They never heard about the customer satisfaction, o wait, they first need to learn how to replace battery without causing the fire.

The Duffield family and all their dedicated people at BMW London have been exemplary in representing the high-quality service and professionalism that any BMW driver would and should expect. But also, they have gone far beyond in their special and extra efforts. BMW London has gone the extra mile to make my BMW purchase experience as best as it could ever possibly be. The finest luxury car experience that I have had in decades with any premier car dealer! I am a very big BMW fan. Great safety and solid road performance. I have driven BMW’s all my life but finally bought my latest new BMW from BMW London for the first time this year. Wow! BMW London has provided unlimited service, the exceptional courtesy and patience, that necessary consideration to detail, the very quick responsiveness to all my requests, all that I can truly say is model of spot-on excellence in a car dealer. I work in Toronto and serve on boards of companies myself, but I am learning about wholesome business practices from BMW London every time I speak with any of them and their team. Keep up the great work! People will obviously notice the huge delta difference that BMW London provides. A premier dealer, a great successful Canadian Company! I will not hesitate to recommend BMW London as a premier BMW dealer to everyone I know, and well worth the short trip to beautiful London, Ontario.

Got a great deal on 2011 Audi Q5, I had to fly from Winnipeg to pick up this car so Susan Mizzi met me at the Airport prepared all needed docs in advance so I will not spend there extra time. All the staff was extremely friendly! That's one of the best experience I ever had with official dealer. Thank you guys you did a great job! Special thanks to Susan Mizzi!

Could not have asked for a better experience with Eric D! Eric answered a multitude of emailed questions almost immediately and was very easy to do business with. Highly recommend! Merry Christmas, Eric!

I bought a 2011 bmw x5 in june with 97000km and 2year warranty for nearly 20000 dollars cash and have had nothing but issues with it replace tires ,brake pads, dust shield ,tennsioner ,door seal and now ive had a engine problem redused power ive done nothing but put money into this car i asked when buying this x5 what would be the best warrenty to purchase i bought the second best one when something brakes its not covered or theres is hidden content im so done with bmw when asked why so many things go wrong after paying for a car in the first 4 months i get told thats what to expect when buying a car 10 years old that i should expect to pay 2-5000 dollars a year for repairs on this car i feel like i was taken advantage of being a first time customer not knowing anything about bmw im not sure what eles to say other then if your going to buy a used bmw buy the very best warrenty available or you will pay twice as much as the purchase price of the car within the first 4 years which is so depressing i have not been able to enjoy my purchase since i bought the car the year june 19 2020 for my birthday
