Overall good service

I originally brought my vehicle for an inspection of the front and rear crossmembers as requested in a letter received directly from Chryslers, as well as an oil change. It was noted that the front crossmember was corroded and a new part would have to be ordered. The oil change was completed and it was also noted that one of the struts was leaking and that the tie rod ends had to be replaced. I scheduled another appointment once the required parts arrived. For the second appointment, the repairs could not be completed before the end of the day, so a rental was provided to me as I was told no loaners were available. From a marketing standpoint, bearing in mind that my own vehicle is now 7 years old (and more than likely I will be in the market to buy a new vehicle fairly soon), it would have been the perfect opportunity to send me home in a new Patriot or Cherokee or any other Chrysler product for that matter. However, I was offered either a Mitsubishi or a Chev Malibu. My vehicle was ready the next day and it was noted that one of the wheel bearings must be replaced/repaired, so I will make an appointment for that item when I get my next oil change. The courtesy shuttle service I received was very good.

What I appreciated most from Theresa was that from time to time during my wait, she would come back and indicate the level of progress done on my vehicle. Everyone I encountered was helpful. A number of people asked if I needed assistance and the courtesy shuttle driver asked twice if I was sure I didn't need a ride home. That's putting the customer first, for sure!

My new 2014 Journey

I started by visiting the tent sale held at Sears, although not ready at that time we were allowed to browse and Kevin answered our questions and allowed us to take out the vehicle I did in fact purchase from that test drive. Kevin explained the features, the differences between my 2009 Journey and wanted to ensure that I'd be overall happy with my choice & was getting the options that were most important to me. I was also looking at the new model Cherokee. I did look at two other dealers lots prior to making my final decision. I was happy with the pick-up process last night and am satisfied so far with my decision. Hopefully, I'm of the same opinion 5 years from now. That was not the case in my previous dealership experience and as a result they did not even get a chance to earn my repeat business.
