I was a loyal Murray Hyundai customer for 9 years. That relationship went sour pretty quick after my engine experienced the infamous ticking problem known to millions of elantra, sonota, and santa fe owners in Canada and the U.S. I brought in my 2013 elantra feeling confident my warranty would be honoured and my engine short block would be replaced just like hundreds of other elantra owners have been replaced. Nope, it was not that easy. First the service desk(Jessica) and the salesman (Al Luff) both accused me of not changing oil. When I showed them my service records they said I could of made them up!. I had to dig up every receipt I had to prove I looked after the service. I submitted the receipts to Hyundai Canada and waited 3 weeks in fear before they had decided to approve the short block engine repair. By this time I was frustrated and without a car to drive. Also the engine was on back order and could take up to 8 months. At no point did Murray Sales reach out and offer a trade for a new car or at least a rental. I ended up trading it off for a brand new CIVIC. This is something I should of done 9 years ago. Its frustrating that Hyundai knows there is a problem with the 1.8 l engine but will not come clean on it. I am glad I saw Murray Hyundai s true colours before I made another mistake. I would not recommend buying or servicing here. Also do not get sucked into leasing any car over a 5 year period.. The elantra looses so much value over 4 years that it is worth almost nothing in a trade in situation. Really enjoying my HONDA CIVIC ,IT cost more but I found out the hard way you get what you pay for.! I know not every car is without problems, but I feel Hyundai let me down on both a loyalty and knowledgeable consumer. ALSO , what hurt is my elantra resale value with a new short block did not increase the trade in. Many customers are experiencing blown engines even after replacement. If you have a 12 or 13 elantra get rid of it before your 100000 km warranty expires.

Service girl was good. Found order quickly but had to wait 1/2hr for a driver to take me to Cancer Care apt. Wasn’t told there would be a wait prior to apt. Called for driver pickup and this was very unorganized and had to wait 1 hr and then they sent two drivers. This needs to be improved before I will come again for service

I bought my very first car through Murray Hyundai. It was an awesome experience and I was treated so well. Nelson, Scott and Pat were awesome at making sure I understood the process and was informed the whole way. I love my Buick Encore Essence and I am so happy that I bought it through such a great company.

As a customer, I only deal with the point-of-contact people, the ones between me and the mechanics. They continue to be quick, knowledgeable and helpful.

they could not find anything wrong at all and said we are consulting with Hyanda off site. They then call and said they are doing an engine flush and low and behold no engine light. all the things done this time were no charge and called me on everything they were doing and checking. I paid zero thank god and want me to come back for oil change in 3000 klicks and may use synthetic oil now, bit confused and all is well and hope engine oil does not get black too soon. The person who looked after me this year as was same lat year was fantastic and was confused as well with what the problem could be Time will tell. Very happy right now as I'm sure I cant put any more money into a car with 1120,000 klicks? The service rep looking after me again was fantastic
