I recently purchased a beautiful vehicle from Jackson’s Toyota in Barrie. I was very impressed and pleased with the service from all the staff especially to Ahmed Midani who did extra work for me. Just got our new to us Rav4 and everyone was amazing to deal with .Lee was very helpful and explained everything we needed to know. It was a pleasure dealing with Barrie Toyota as always . Now both my husband and I have Toyotas and I couldn't be happier to be back in the fold.

I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership when I was buying a new SUV and I would not give them my business again. - Was lowballed on my trade-in, offered 30% lower compared to KBB and autotrader wholesale values, this was also during the hottest used car market of all time. Salesman and manager could not explain to me why their offer was so low compared to the industry standard other than "we have to make a profit too". - After arguing back and forth about the trade-in, we agreed on a number and then when signing the form I noticed a surprise "dealer fee" of $500... This was never mentioned to me so I pushed back and was able to get it removed. - Upon delivery, they did this shady sales practice where I was pulled into an office and offered extra "protection" and "insurance", but not in real dollar amounts - I was quoted in monthly payments on top of my financing! This is done deliberately to mask the true cost (PV) of the item you're being sold. How many people can calculate on the spot the PV of a extra $30/month payment over 5 years? Why not just tell me the real cost in dollars today? - SUV finally arrived but had missing running boards. Not only was I not notified of this before delivery but the salesman even denied that it was even supposed to be included. After much back and forth they conceded that they were wrong and I had to wait another 4 months for those to arrive and book extra time for them to install it. - They wouldn't stop calling and emailing me for about a year after the sale. "You're due for an oil change!", "We're calling about your extended warranty!", "Do you want to renew your satellite Radio??", "Happy birthday from your favourite dealership!". Every time I would tell them to stop bothering me but they just kept calling. They dropped the ball at every opportunity and I felt like I was dodging scams throughout the whole process. I understand some of this is standard practice in the industry but that doesn't make it right!! The only reason I can think of to treat customers like this is if you're greedy and you assume your customers are not very bright or don't know any better. It is a Toyota at the end of the day and they will have customers either way but next time I'm taking my business elsewhere.
