It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Paul at Vernon Dodge, we drove up from kamloops to check out the Used SUV's, Paul worked with my wife and I to show us exactly what we had in mind. He wasn't constantly trying to up sell me to a Brand New vehicle either, he gave me the option if I wanted to consider going new. I said No and that was that. It is rare to find a Salesman who wont let you chose the vehicle, most try to steer you in the direction they want . Not Paul, he made sure to deliver exactly what we wanted. Hassle and worry free when working with Vernon Dodge and our Salesman, I highly recommend anyone looking to buy New or used to go and ask for Paul!

I, together with my husband, recently bought a new Jeep. I say it this way because other than the official registration papers, you would think I didn't exist. My name doesn't appear on the loan we took out, even though we expressly asked it to be. That, after having been told it wasn't necessary for me to be included to qualify. Perhaps so, but we requested this and didn't find out until we came to pick up the vehicle that my name not only had been left off the loan, but wasn't even on the registration papers! The registration was corrected but we were told the loan could not be re-worked at the same special finance rate in effect at the time we made the deal two weeks prior. At this point, just wanting to leave with the new vehicle we had waited two weeks for, I grudgingly went along with changing the registration papers. Buying a brand new Jeep has been something my husband and I have looked forward to for some time, but leaving the dealership that evening, I felt nothing but bitterness for the dismissive manner in which I had been treated and it was hard to feel the joy of that first drive home. I'd like to point out that there were no barriers with my credit, I have a very good job, and make more than my husband. Fast forward to this past week. The 'thank you for your business' letter arrives, addressed only to my husband. The warranty information arrives, addressed only to my husband. The Sirius Satellite letter arrives, addressed only to my husband. I will admit that the dealership thank you letter did have my first name handwritten next to my husband's full name, an attempt by our sales guy to acknowledge my existence which I thank him for. There is no excuse for this kind of treatment! This is not the 1970's or 80's and women should expect to be treated as equal partners in a family vehicle purchase. And please don't tell me that your forms don't have enough room or an extra field to add the name of a co-owner. If that's the case, perhaps it's time to upgrade the forms? I'm left with a family debt that is not shared by me legally in name but for which my salary will go to service for the next several years. And any time I need to contact the service department or renew our satellite radio, I'll need to use my husband's name because I don't exist in any of their databases. I'm a woman and I am invisible. Thanks Vernon Dodge for making me feel like such an un-important customer while parting with over $40,000.

Thank you for your feedback Linda; it's important that we take time to reflect on situations like these so that we can avoid them in the future. Hopefully, it goes without saying that there is not a single sexist element to our business although we certainly understand how it could seem that way to you. We value the business of our women clientele exactly equally to that of our male base each and every day and we pride ourselves in being extremely progressive and extremely inclusive with everyone. We have reviewed your Jeep purchase and discussed it in detail with our finance team. Our oversight was as simple as not recognizing your desire to be included on the loan in March when the discounted interest rate loan approval was secured. By the banks somewhat archaic rules, once a loan is approved the terms of the approval are locked in stone - not by us at the Dealership but by the bank that lent the money for the Jeep. The deeper complication stems from the fact that the approval was solidified two weeks prior to the Jeep arriving and by the time it was ready for delivery, we were locked out by the Bank to make any changes, including adding you to the loan documents. If you wanted to be on the loan and we could make that happen - we would without fail. We are happy that the insurance person who did the insurance was able to add you to the ownership of the Jeep. We have taken the step to ensure that all of our internal databases show very clearly that you are an equal owner of the Jeep and there should never be any confusion in any of the departments.

After some initial dissatisfaction Paul made sure that the issue I was having was resolved by having the shoddy after market parts replaced with top of the line Mopar parts. Paul is an excellent salesman dedicated to the happiness of his customers.

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which I love. However, I have had nothing but recalls and problems with it. While the service people at Vernon Dodge are nice enough, I have never received good service on my jeep itself. I would love to keep buying jeeps, but I can't bring myself to deal with Vernon Dodge Jeep again, so I will be moving on to a new dealership when the time comes in a couple years.

Hi Chelsea - very sorry to hear about your troubles with servicing your Jeep. If there is anything at all that we can do to remedy this situation, please take a moment to reach out to any one of the managers in the dealership. I have shared your concerns with them and they look forward to doing their best to get things back on track.

Thought I'd stop in and see if the stories were true. Absolutely the worst dealership environment I've experienced. I will definitely keep doing business across the street

We're sorry to hear that your experience didn't live up to your expectations Jaymie. Maybe if you could elaborate on what you didn't like about your visit, we can endeavor to improve on it should you visit again.

Paul listened to what we were looking for rather than tell us what he thought we needed as has happened to us before. The whole buying experience was pleasant with no stress and we will continue deal with the people at this dealership. James & Wendy
