Poor customer service and dishonest salesman and managers

Blown away by this dealership! Started dealing with them once again because of new ownership and nothing has changed. Brought my truck in for some warranty work and everything was great, they had told me they fixed everything and I was happy. Picked up my truck after hours and didn't even make it out of the parking lot and the issue was happening again. Got stuck out of town for a few months and came home to resolve the issue, at this point my warranty had expired and this time they had magically found the problem but figured it was gonna be 800$. Talked to multiple other dodge dealerships and was told if I had dealt with them in the beginning they would honour the warranty because they failed to fix it the first time while it was under warrenty. Then the service manager said he would talk to dodge and see if he could help me. Said there is nothing they could do. I called Dodge Canada two weeks later to find out he didn't even call them. On top of that they wanna charge me 800 dollars to put in a part that would take 15 mins to do and the retail on the part is under 300 bucks. I understand shop Tim but 2 hours for this! Would highly suggest no one dealing with this dealership. Usually most dealerships are the same but this one is much worse.

Thank you for your feedback Dan, I’ll do my best to clarify the situation for you. You had brought your vehicle in January 18th at 56,631km for the problem with the right mirror signal not working. We reset the body control module and it began to work again. We did tell you that it may require a more in depth repair and asked you to monitor the situation and return if it started acting up again. On June 9th you returned and said that the problem returned immediately after you left in January. By this time, your warranty had expired as there was now 68,292km on your vehicle and the warranty had expired at 60,000km. I did speak with our district manager about this issue and he said that due to the fact that you had not come back for 5 months, had almost 12,000km more, and had exceeded the warranty mileage, he was unable to assist. He does not report every question he gets to Chrysler head office which is why they did not have a record of this. You could have returned to any Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer before your warranty expired to have the issue repaired if returning to our dealership was not feasible due to your work situation. After you contacted Chrysler, we did offer to do the repair at a reduced cost but we did not hear back from you. I feel that we have done our best to assist you in this situation and I’m sorry that it doesn’t meet your expectations.

I have never used this dealership because I never got the chance. I went in for an oil change, but I was told that because there weren't enough staff that day, and because they had prior engagements, I would have to leave my vehicle there for the rest of the day and they might be able to squeeze me in. I live out of town and I had to work later that day so there was no way i could just leave it there. He said I could try back in a couple hours, but I didnt have time for that. A week later I wanted to give them another chance, and I called beforehand to make sure I would be able to get in. I called 3 times with no answer, and the 4th time I left a message. Never heard anything back. I then called Crosstown Auto in Edmonton and they answered and said they could get me in right away, and sure enough I was in and out within 25 minutes. I don't like giving bad reviews but I also dont like receiving bad service, or no service at all.

Thank you for your feedback Katherine. I will try to address your concerns. As we are a smaller dealership without a dedicated oil change bay, we do most of our oil changes on an appointment basis. We can usually accommodate a walk-in service but we give priority to the customers that have appointments. I’m not sure what day it was that you came in but, Saturdays tend to be very busy and we are generally fully booked as we do run a limited staff on Saturdays. We try to fit customers in as we value their time, and their business but, we do not want to take in more work than we are able to complete so that we do not disappoint people by not getting their vehicles finished on time. We do our best to answer every service phone call we receive but sometimes we get busy dealing with customers in person. We do rely on our message system and get back to people as quickly as possible. I’m sorry that your message was not returned and I will address this with my staff. We value all of our customers and have been working hard to improve the reputation of the dealership. We have made some definite improvements but there is always more to do. We hope you consider us in the future. Thank you.

I give St. Albert Dodge a five star rating for customer service, service on my car and overall five star. I called to have my car in for service and got an appointment for the next day. The service people were extremely fast. I was just looking at new cars while my car was being serviced. I found the staff to be so welcoming without pressure of any kind and Derek gave such customer service with so much good information on the new Chrysler 300. Job well done guys. I will be back. Wonderful company. I certainly will be a new customer.

*update* 1 year and 1 month after purchasing my charger, it has had nothing but problem after problem. The engine light had come on, so I bought it into St. Albert dodge and they told me it was a flash update and that they fixed the issue. The next day the light came on again so I bought it back and they replaced a sensor.. problem solved? No. Not even 24 hours late the engine light came back on. There was much more wrong than a sensor, I decided to not take it back to St. Albert dodge for any repairs, even though it still has warranty. The car is awful, the Bluetooth option no longer works, the USB connector only plays music when it wants too. The computer glitches and the music just stops at random times when it does want to work. My automatic seat quit working, the problems are just way too long to list. The upkeep on this car has been perfect on my part, with only premium gas & synthetic oil changes and regular maintenance. Not exactly the problems I want a YEAR after paying 50,000$ for a BRAND NEW CAR. I actually can't wait to get rid of it. (This is my SECOND charger, in which I traded My first one in for this one and I never had any problems with my old 2014 charger.) Huge thank you to everyone who helped me! My situation was a little difficult, being self employed. Big thanks to Perry and Vince in finance for keeping me updated, and putting up with my difficult situation!! I love my new charger & it was totally worth the 3 weeks of waiting

Very helpful explained all my options was not pushy when I wanted to take my time and they worked very hard to get me exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay amazing sevice from Rod Elliot my sales rep and from the general manager and the finance department with Vince Lee
