When I went in, I was expecting to have only break pads to change. That's what I was told the week before when I brought my car in for an oïl change. I was quite surprised to learn that the roters also needed to be changed. Only one week had gone by since the last appointment, plus I had not used my car during the week-end.

As usual the service staff were friendly, explained things clearly, and my car was ready when they promised. I also GREATLY appreciate the ride to and from work so I didn't have to wait while my car was being serviced.

Oil change, routine tune-up, shield installed and ordered missing piece. Consulted mechanic and made appointment for winter tires. Always satisfied with work done. Should be 20 words or less, just filling in space. Sorry.

The recall check was well handled. The service people were prompt, respectful and genuinely friendly and helpful, even supplying a new key chain to address the issue of a key ring that was too tight for the fob. This was volunteered by the service department representative. It was over and above what was required.

Kara Wing was an incredible service advisor. This negative review does not reflect on her in any way shape or form. She was friendly, charismatic, and very helpful. I had 2 tires changed, a synthetic oil change, and a belt changed. My bill was $900, which was fine. I was also told I had a loose left inner tie-rod, needed an alignment, and that my calipers were seized. In short, I needed over $1,000 of additional work. I told them I was bringing my car to the shop at the school I work at, where I was told there is "no play" with the left inner tie-rod. The shop teacher said "maybe the technician at Palladino was having a bad day" with a wry smile. He said he would be double checking today before doing my brakes, but didn't see any issues. I was also told the calipers were not seized and that the rear brakes were worn and rusted and simply needed to be replaced. I've never had an issue at Palladino Honda. Everyone in my immediate family drives a Honda. I'm a little upset because my mom recently had issues at Palladino where they did some work on her 2 or 3 year old CRV. My dad had to bring it back in, they flushed the oil (which had supposedly been changed), and the oil was never changed. This was within the last 6 months. They reimbursed my parents the money and did the work for free. But trust with mechanics is paramount to me. I don't want to have to wonder every time I bring my vehicle in if the oil was actually changed or if the work that I am told needs to be done actually has to be done. I just have serious concerns about bringing my vehicle to Palladino for service in the near term because of these recent servicing issues, both for myself and within my family. I think I will be bringing my truck to get serviced at Shell in Hanmer for a while. I know the owner and he has an '07 Ridgeline. I'm sure at some point in the future I will give Palladino another try since this is the first issue I have.... and Honda's are simply the best vehicles on the market. Thanks for your time, Sean

Two suggestions: After the sale is made and the customer is waiting for delivery it would be nice to get calls after the 2 week waiting period. It is uncomfortable for the customer to keep calling. A two minute call would do it. Secondly, interest was stated at .99 for borrowing money. It should be made clear that borrowing for the 84 month period the interest changes to 4.49. The sign on the wall suggests borrowing the money and then putting your own cash in a long term GIC, that is why I went for the longer term when I could have bought the car for cash. I assumed I was getting .99 Two suggestions that would have made the experience better for me. My salesman and the financial person were very pleasant and helpful.
