I switched VW dealerships from Outaouais to Bytek, even though Bytek is 30 minutes farther away, and this was the best move ever. Like night and day. The service at Bytek is excellent. Extra kudos to Derrik Francoeur for his engaging approach and no-nonsense conversations. I've been a hardcore VW fanatic ever since I started driving 21 years ago and almost switched brands after having terrible experiences at the Hull dealerships, but Derrik was awesome and made it very clear and obvious within minutes that this was an isolated dealership situation. Go to Bytek. You won't regret it. They listen carefully and treat you like you deserve. I'm a very happy Golf R driver now thanks to them. Only reason this isn't 5 star is their poor (absent?) French service. This is an officially bilingual town guys. And your can serve my family, neither over the phone or in person, that's too bad.

A new 10-month old 2017 GLI with under 30000km was towed there on a Friday evening when it wouldn't start; when I called Saturday morning I was told they could maybe get to it Tuesday. Heard nothing and called Wednesday, still didn't have it it. When I called Friday, I got "we are just bringing it in the shop now." How convenient and totally a lie! They got me a rental car. Another week goes by and nothing. Not a single phone call. No email. Not a single update telling me what was wrong with my new car owned less than a year. I finally called another VW and asked if it could be towed to them to work on it. Amazingly the next morning I get a call (my first one) telling me my car is done and they tried calling me. Another lie, as I have voicemail and call display on my cell and work phone. I pick up my car and am amazed that there is a $0 bill due to warranty work. While they didn't make money off me I still expected the courtesy of an update call, and did not expect to have to sort out getting a replacement car provided by my paid warranty. "Your warranty provides a rental once a diagnosis of car has been done." Maybe, but that caveat was not written into the warranty to loophole not having to assess a car in order to avoid providing them a rental. Unimpressed, and worried that the 2.5 weeks was spent taking new parts out of my car to replace with old junk, hoping that when they break my car will be warranty-towed to them again where I will be forced to pay to replace non-new authentic but consumable parts. I'm not accusing them of this, just totally worried that an afternoon job took 2.5 weeks to fix with no contact from them. I won't go back, and will be contacting VW Canada to ensure that my warranty roadside vw assistance won't tow me back to them as they are not officially Bytek VW (used to be, and you would be smart to look at why).

Hi Travis, we are sorry about the wait to get your Jetta on the road. We're glad that the repair was covered by warranty, and glad that you had a loaner vehicle for a good portion of the delay. Rest assured, we would never exchange parts from your new car with old ones- I think that was a bit of humour on your part? Please contact our service manager, Greg Taylor at 613-745-6886 to discuss any element of this transaction. Enjoy your beautiful Jetta GLI!

Very happy with the entire process from the initial greeting to the low pressure honest approach from end to end. Derrik Francoeur especially, is singularly recommended. EDIT Had to replace my vehicle two years later due to a major collision, and Dilhan Mendis continued my positive experience with Bytek. I made it clear to not apply any pressure and the sale was his. He respected that, and I'm now driving my new 2018 golf wagon from Bytek.

Thank you for the kind words, Richard! Dilhan is a fantastic sales rep and we are lucky to have him on the Bytek VW team. Happy travels,

Car sat in lot for over 2 months to be repaired. Not recommended for getting work done on car. I could go on and on but I won't!

Hey Jason, We are very sorry that the time required to repair the major impact damage to your Jetta was as long as it was. There were more damages than was estimated by the insurance which we had to document and contact your insurance for additional work authorization. This will always add 5 or more business days to the repairs. Once authorized we had to order the extra parts and then reschedule the car in for repairs. We also had to coordinate with the service department for the mechanical repairs that were required. The request you made for the timing belt to be inspected for impact damage, also added delays for us to deliver your Jetta back to you. Again, we are very sorry for the delay and please feel free to contact our Collision Center Manager Matt, at 613-745-6886, to further discuss this issue.
