I have no idea why anyone would ever buy a car other than a Honda. Here’s proof. I’ve got 563,872 kilometres on my Honda pilot. One time, one time, Winter private sale next three days Sherwood Honda and come speak to Evan and he’ll set you up.

I just had an unbelievable experience dealing with Sherwood Honda and specifically Tyler McLeod in their Service department. I am from Calgary, but in Edmonton for my daughter’s cheer competition and I came out this morning to a dead car. Severe weather and what turned out to be a frozen starter and dead battery, Tyler went over and above to help me figure out options and then fit me into service to get it corrected. I can’t thank Tyler and Sherwood Honda enough for their excellent customer service.

*****UPDATE: I just found something in addition to what I entered below. The vehicle I bought was serviced at Sherwood Honda a month before I bought it with almost 125,000 km on the odometer. A month later I bought the vehicle and it showed it only had 76,000 km. It would seem, in addition to the information given below, that this is not a trustworthy dealership.**** My experience with this dealership is a disaster and they fraudulently sold me a vehicle and I’ll disclose the details right here. If a vehicle has ever been written off, a "salvage" label is placed on the vehicle. If it is subsequently rebuilt, a "rebuit status will be stuck on the vehicle for the remainder of the life of that vehicle. If the vehicle has never suffered an accident severe enough to warrant the "rebuilt " status, an "active' status is on the registration of the vehicle and basically means normal. A year and a couple months after purchasing my ''active''(normal) status truck, I tried trading it in at a different dealership where they pulled a Carfax on it, and this is when I got the news that the truck I paid 21,000 for a little over a year ago, was a salvaged vehicle and was only worth 11,000. I spoke to AMA and they told me the label on my registration needs to be changed to ''rebuilt'' because it had once been written off. I contacted Sherwood Honda to inform them of the mishap and the manager I talked to ( i believe the owners son in law) claimed without documentation to prove his claim, that Carfax, the document the dealership uses all the time to 'prove' the vehicles records, probably made a mistake and they make mistakes fairly often, according to him. But the mistake wasn't limited to one entry where it claimed it was a 'salvaged vehicle', but also another entry claiming to be 'rebuilt'. Let's say for argument sake that there was an error...... I mean 3, with Carfax. The very fact that they saw it being a rebuilt vehicle with a ''active'' status wreaks of fraud and a violation of the fair trading act. I happen to know some GM's and owners of different dealerships and I enquired with them, as I challenge you to as well if you want to see the reaction from others as to how slimy of a transaction this is, and the reaction was unanimous accross the board. FRAUD. FRAUD. FRAUD. FRAUD. Oh ya, almost forgot. The truck I paid $21000 for a little over a year ago from Sherwood Honda, when I tried to trade it in, the offer was, because it was a salvaged vehicle, $11000. I was told by that other dealership that if it were not a salvaged vehicle, they would have no problem giving me $20 - $22k range. Now the Sherwood Honda representative, the owners son in law, offered me $11k for my truck, the same price the other dealer offered me with it being a salvage. You can tell the character of a dealership not by the good deals they do, but how quickly they will rip off a customer as soon as they get the opportunity. I gave them a chance, now Amvic can look after it. By the way, if you think I'm just a whiner.... check out my other reviews.
